(Sky smiled as he covered the boys eyes and kissed his cheek) happy birthday beautiful, up for a date night?

Xander reached out to take Sky’s hands and he smiled rather widely at him. “Mhm, do you have something planned?”

“Oh..I thought Sky would have told you. Brian broke up with me….again. He’s done with me. He doesn’t want me anymore.”

Xander’s playfulness faded and he frowned a bit as he reached into his pouch and let the dust almost wrap around Damien. “You don’t need him then, okay? You’ve got me and Sky.”

“Oh I didn’t know. I was kind of hoping it would be enough magic to take away the pain the mermaid replied. "I haven’t even felt like swimming lately.”

Xander let his hands settle on his hips. “Now what kind of pain would you be feeling, mister? You don’t look injured.”

Xander gave Gus’ hand a gentle squeeze before bumping his hip against his. “I’m glad too…I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else.”

Gus chuckled softly, squeezing his hand back gently. “Seriously? That’s… That’s actually kinda nice…”

"Kinda? Since when am I not nice?" He joked lightly with a small smile pulling at his lips as he pushed open the door to his home.

Sure.  (He texted the pizza place) Alright, they say it should be here in fifteen minutes.  (He rubbed the boy’s back and kissed his hair) Love you (He whispered softly)

A small smile appeared on Xander's lips as he leaned up and pressed a few constant kisses to Skylar's lips. He found comfort in those kisses. "Love you too, Sky."

Of course we can. Anything you want Xander. (He scooped the boy up into his arms and began walking them home) you sure everything’s okay?

Xander would usually argue and claimed that he could walk just fine on his own, but he decided being close to Sky was way more important. “I’m sure.” he murmured.

Okay. (He kissed the boy and nuzzled his cheek as they got back to the house) so what kind of pizza are you up for?

"Mushroom? And plain with extra cheese?" Xander asked, tilting his head up a bit. His head rested against Skylar's shoulder and he let his eyes close.

“That’s very true,” Gus smiled as they walked towards Xander’s place. “I’m so glad you’re back, Xan…”
