It’s Prom night. Don’t you think that’s a little cliche?

Honestly, Grace, it doesn't matter to me what night it is. But fine, if you are so against the idea of it being "cliché", then we can stay.

That’s because I can’t say no to certain people.

And so I trust you won't "say no" this time?

Yeah it’s better than this prom, it’s better than most things. But it gets stupid when you do it all the time with the same person excessively.

Of course you do. Which makes sense, with all the exercise you do.

Yeah, you’re right. You could always try to have fun, you know. The punch does wonders. 

Judging by the behaviour of all the guests in attendance, I'm going to assume the punch has been spiked. So I'd rather not.

I just feel bad, forcing you to come. It’s stupid anyways.

Then where is she? Did she ditch you? That’s gotta suck. One of us has to have fun. Glad it’s me.

She didn't ditch me. She's just ... having fun.

So I’m going to assume you don’t have a date.  Of course I am.

I wouldn't be here if I didn't have a date. My date is the sole reason I'm here, in fact. But that's nice. Makes one of us.
