But I got these from @annaleigh and adore them 🥰 I needed my Stan fix, and now I'm finding I can't leave Ford behind either.

Jesus, thank god that silly little magic drain was over! 

Ashleigh had woken up completely restored to her former self-- any pesky little mortal emotion expunged from her body as if she had never experienced it at all. And really, maras were blessed in that they could only hold onto so much memory. So she didn’t really remember the pity, or the sadness, or the sweetness. 

But what she did remember was her new besties. Whether or not she gained Evangeline through the power of ‘being good’ or whatever, she planned to hold onto that bright, beautiful new friend through the power of... being herself, duh. 

And the best way to do that? A sleepover! And oh my god, Ashleigh needed a cleanse after over a month of feeling so weird. 

“You are going to love Evangelne,” said Ashleigh to Anna as they arrived at Evy’s house. “She’s soooo nice. And beautiful, like, she has perfect skin. I can’t wait to see her routine, you know?”

If you’re in to mystery type books, you will love this one.

Annaleigh’s sister Eulalie has just died. Apparently, she fell from a cliff and her body shattered on rocks by the shore. Annaleigh and her sisters were considered the Thaumas Dozen, as there were 12 of them. Within the past 5 or so years, their mom and 4 of their sisters have died. Annaleigh can make sense of the other sister’s deaths, but not Eulalie’s. There is no reason she would have jumped, or even gotten close to the cliffs. Annaleigh is determined to find out what happened to her sister, in hopes she can figure it out before anyone else dies. 

A family friend Fisher tells Annaleigh about Pontus’ (their sea god) god door that he uses to travel through the lands quickly. To ease the tension, Annaleigh tells her sisters and they make it a scavenger hunt. Eventually they find the door, and some go through. They’re invited to a ball, and they’re excited to go because no one will know them - and their “curse.” So every night, they sneak out to go dancing. From here, she meets a scary looking man who starts haunting her dreams. 

This book was very good at keeping me guessing. I couldn’t tell who it was the whole time. I loved the little clues the writer left, and it shook me up pretty good. I definitely had some, “Oh my god,” moments. 

The romance part of this book... The love interest, Cassius, was a kind of... all over the place character. Some facts about him really came out of no where, and I don’t know why. He had done some suspicious things, and when it comes to him - nothing adds up.
