So I have a garashir fic in my head that I will probably never have the energy to write about Lower Decks garashir and what if EMH Julian is not Doctor Garak’s first Julian. Like in the fic Garak meets his universe’s Julian because he stays on the station as a doctor and has to work with Julian who is still the Starfleet appointed CMO. They eventually fall in love and either have only recently gotten together or are on the precipice of getting together (I haven’t decided which) when Julian dies in the dominion war and not long after that Garak gets scooped up to join the multiverse crew. When he meets EMH Julian he sees him as a second chance with the man he loved and lost. Things don’t go as smoothly as he would like because while this Julian is still very much Julian he’s not his Julian, but the get to know each other and he falls in love with all the ways this Julian is different. And that’s the fic. I just keep rotating the idea around in my head and I can only imagine the fic as either a multi chapter maybe even multi fic epic that I very much do not have the time or energy for unfortunately or as a smaller fic of either Garak or Julian or both telling the story to like the Mariner the crew picked up in the episode or someone but that would heavily truncate the fic and not do the story I’m imagining justice so I’ll probably just never actually write the fic.

Does anyone else do this thing where you’re hyper focused on a fandom and you want to pretty much only see stuff from that fandom so when the Algorithm™️ shows you posts about other stuff that you do also like you don’t interact with them because you don’t want the Algorithm™️ to think that you want to see more of that instead of more of what you’re currently fixated on or is that just me?

I keep seeing excerpts from the Star Trek books and the only conclusion I can come to is that I need to read literally all of them

I feel like I should not have started the fic I’m writing in middle of an ongoing season because I have managed to write myself in a corner that I need to wait until the rest of the episodes come out to figure out what to do

I don’t think that the Peacemaker finale quite stuck the landing for me as a whole but at the same time there are so many individual parts that I loved so much.

I have a lot of thoughts about tonight’s Peacemaker episode but I feel like I need to sit with those thoughts before I can articulate them. I’m really not sure how they’re supposed to wrap things up in the last episode when things feel so wrapped up. I don’t know what they are going to bring to the table that doesn’t feel like too much that needs more than one episode to wrap up.

So I’m definitely over thinking the alternate universe from Peacemaker because if we assume that the main place the universes split is WWII then then are some cultural things in that universe that I’m not sure should exist. I started thinking about it because of the two Adrians comparing things including taste in Pokémon and I’m not sure Pokémon should exist or at the very least I’m not sure Adrien 2 should have been able to get his hands on it. Like a not insignificant portion of Japan’s modern pop culture and art can be traced back to their feelings about the fact that the US dropped atomic bombs on them, but in this universe did that even happen? The US dropped the bombs after Germany surrendered so it was really just America and Japan still fighting at that point. If Germany won and America became a Nazi paradise what reason would they have to drop the bombs on Japan? If they didn’t then how would that change the trajectory of Japan’s art and culture? Would the right cultural conditions even be met for Pokémon to exist? If it did would it even look anything like our version of Pokémon? Could it even be similar enough for the Adrians to have the same favorite Pokémon? I don’t think it would exist personally, but let’s say it does I’m not sure that there would be a market for it in this version of America. Maybe they would be willing to localize it and make it available to an American audience because Japan was part of the Axis and could be a current ally, but on the flip side would this version of America that clearly keeps black people and probably other people of color in concentration camps be willing to import a game from a non-white country. Even with Japan being Germany’s ally, in the real universe the US put Japanese Americans in internment camps and they probably did in that universe as well. When the Axis powers won the war did they let them out or did they just shove more types of people in there with them. I’m just not sure that even if Pokémon does exist in this universe that it would be available to an American market for Adrian 2 to get his hands on unless he has connections through the Sons of Liberty to import things. Anyway I’m thinking way too hard about this but it’s fascinating to think about.

I need someone who knows more about DC comics than me to figure out who the characters Lex has been forced to listen to while they’re fucking are, I need to know

Also I need someone to make Adrian their malewife, at this point I don’t care who, Chris, John, just make that man your wife

I still mostly ship Vigilmaker but I’m starting to think Adrian and Economos’s fucked up little brains fit well together
