Many of the rules that my team has had to abide by are rules that make no sense whatsoever. At this point last year we had already been to several swim meets and even left the state for a few, but this season we have a grand total of three swim meets in the first half. I wake up every day at 5:20 AM and drive to practice so that I can work my butt off for 2 hours and then I have another 2-3 hours of practice in the afternoon for 6 months just so that I can swim fast for less than 3 minutes total ( the length of all my races combined). As if swimming wasn’t already hard enough, now I’m not allowed to have more than 3 swim meets in the first half of the season, I have to wear a mask imediately after leaving the water (This feels similar to water boarding due to the water going from my face onto the mask combined with the heavy breathing after a hard race.) I’m surprised no one has passed out yet! 

When I was eight years old I got my first computer. My mom bought it for me so that I would stop asking her to use her computer to play Minecraft. Through Minecraft I started learning my first ever programing language, Javascript. I was so interested in the endless creativity I was allowed to have with programming. I could imagine anything and make it happen using computer programming. In 6th grade I took a computer class in school and quickly learned beyond anything my teacher could help me with. I was teaching myself over in the corner of the room while my class mates learned things that seemed to be so basic to me. Years went by and after many programing languages and computer softwares later I can safely say that there is almost nothing on a computer that I can not do. I’ve built my own personal computer. I taught myself how to use 3D modeling software, which I used to create my most prized pice of art. I made a model of the earth and moon that are scaled perfectly. They are so realistic that it is hard to tell the rendered image from an actual picture of the Earth. In my model I used my knowlege in coding and block chains to make an atmosphere arround the Earth and mountains that are to-scale and are comparitively at the same altitude as our mountains and atmosphere on Earth. Once I had my atmosphere in place I needed to code working clouds and weather that float above the surface of my model Earth at the correct altitude, which I did. Once I had everything in place I animated the Earth to rotate on its axis and it takes exactly 23 hours, 56 minutes and 4.0916 seconds to complete a full rotation, which is the exact same amount of time as the real thing. Overall the project has taken me at least 300 hours to create and it is such a large project that even my monster computer takes hours to render a single frame. The image I’ve shared below is a still frame of what it looks like. Everything in this image is to scale exactly. The clouds are floating exactly  10,000ft above the surface. Notice how the light from the sun only reflects off of the ocean and not off of the land. Also notice the light blue atmosphere that surrounds the planet just like in reality. The project has used everything I have learned since I was a little kid playing minecraft on my moms computer. I’m still constantly coming up with new things I could do, but I know that at some point I have to stop because at some point the file will be so big that I will not be able to open the project. I eventually wanted to make it so that as the earth spins the major cities that are on the dark side of the planet give off some light polution. I also wanted to make the weather system to be dynamic so that it reflects actual wind patterns and weather that we have in real time. I had the even crazier idea of making it to where I could zoom in on the planet infinitely and model some of the major cities throught the world so that it would be possible to zoom in on New York City or Bejing.

however now that I have started on my sophomore year in college I have had almost no time to stream, much less do all the behind the scenes marketing work that I was able to do over the summer. The first 2 months after I started working I only slept maybe 5 hours a night because I was doing everything on my own. I was up till 3AM photoshoping and editing videos to solidify my brand. It’s been hard, but due to the growth that I had over the summer I have been able to get some help from my community. I now have 2 professional video editors, 8 part time chat moderators, and 1 Discord manager. Even though I mostly only stream once or twice a month I am still producing just enough content to keep my name out there at least a little bit. My viewership has gone down quite a bit, but I won’t let that stop me from contunuing to chace my dream of being a full time streamer.
