He allows the limb to be inspected, warm fingers almost a comfort, allows the judgmental look without much of a fight.

"It’s the only way we can nab Abaddon—didn’t even have to think about it." 

   Castiel paused, looking at his hands for a moment and trying his best to articulate.  He was always stiff in his speech, awkward, and he wanted the next few sentences to come across just right. The last thing he needed was for Dean to think he was being condemned or chastised.  

"You think that 'nabbing' Abaddon is more important than your well-being.  Perhaps the Mark won't kill you, but you'd be a fool to think that there won't be consequences."

                And Dean Winchester is no fool.  That much, Castiel knew for certain.

"I would rather have seen Abaddon live that much longer than to see you do this to yourself.  You just don't need any more weight on your shoulders.  Do you understand what I'm saying?"
