ITS THE INFAMOUS JTK SCREAMER 

 I’m not really too sure where to begin with this, but it was suggested to me that I atleast give it a try, but this is me asking for help I guess. After finding out some really hideous things about my parents, I’m being left in a really difficult spot and I don’t know how, nor can get out of it on me own. I mentioned a few of the things the other night, but in a summarized version of that summary, my step father  and my mother are both really horrible, manipulative people, and after hearing the all matching stories from my older siblings who have all long since moved out, I cannot trust them at all. 

My world is falling apart and I have little to no outlets or people to turn to who can actually help me, and when it comes down to it, I’m the only one who can help me the most in this situation. I’m not currently in school due to complications, and am trying to decide how I could get my GED in order to make getting a job easier (I live in a University town, so being a teenager with no experience and no diploma makes me worthless in most ways), and am trying to get my mother to part with all of my legal documents. From what I gathered from my siblings, is that she’s been very controlling and wants to micro-manage her children’s lives to the point that they’re basically helpless and don’t know how to be adults, which from my perspective, is exactly how it’s been. I don’t know how to be an adult, and am trying to learn as fast as I fucking can.

I cannot stay here much longer, it’s a toxic environment and I need out. My mental and emotional health are in a really horrible state at this point, so this is me trying to channel these feelings into helping myself into giving into being self destructive.

I hate asking for things like this, but this is me asking for help. I am trying to raise money so that I can get out, and move as far away as I can get. It would mean the world to me if you could either spread this around or spare any donations - the only bank-related thing that I have at the moment is paypal, but if you could, send it to [email protected].

I’ve gone through so many many moments in my life with people just like this and I know exactly what this feels like.

There comes a time when you need to let go - I’ve dealt with people that I’ve invested so much time and effort trying to help them build a sense of motivation and simply want to go somewhere in life, but nothing. I’ve had to call them out and basically distance myself from them because their funk was doing nothing but bringing myself and others down. Maybe my ideas were just never working, maybe this was the real them all along and I never got that…

All I know is what this comic says: that people can only truly help themselves. Even the most empathetic person in the world can’t help someone if they simply don’t want to be helped. They’re unhappy, they clearly need help, but there is no improvement from them at all. They’re still just this bitter person, who is upset and angry. What’s worse is when they start snapping at you and blaming you for their problems because all your ideas maybe weren’t working. There comes a point to help, and a point to back away and let them live how they choose, good or bad.

It’s wrong to bring yourself down like that because you’ve done everything you could to help them and they still haven’t changed. There comes point where you’ve run out of advice or things to say. You have a life to live - it’s fine to want to be a good friend, but there comes a point where you’re investing too much time into their story and you’re letting it get to you down. Recognize that and back away.

It’s not pretty, and I only resort to Brutal Honesty when I have too, but it’s essential, especially with people who lack motivation. Some people need a strong talking-to to get them to wake the hell up, and even then it’s not enough some times.

If you see posts on your dash saying “don’t google trypophobia,” Trust them.

Trypophobia is the fear of irregular patterns of holes in things, like beehives and anthills and coral and sponges and the camp in “Holes.”
