The brunette did not appear to be in a good place, from the way she held herself, to the way she narrowed her hues at Nora, almost as if she was no longer familiar. However, considering the predicament they were all in, Nora assumed Hayley had lost some of her memories. It was not uncommon, but slightly disheartening due to her unrequited crush on the hybrid. She had prepared herself for such an occurrence, which softened the blow slightly, but not enough for Nora to feel less hurt. “I asked if you are alright..” Nora spoke out, sighing a little. “I’m going to assume you do not remember me— which is alright.” She nodded, though truthfully, it wasn’t. This town was ruining all of their lives, she only wished things were easier. “I’m Nora, we’ve met before, but only briefly…”
She didn’t like how this conversation was starting out. This girl, this stranger, was being far too friendly towards her -- which could only mean that they truly were friends in this alternate life she had lead before the beginning of this year. The thought twisted her up inside with anxiety, and she’s resisting the urge to just get up from that bench and walk away from it all. But she had ignored her, Nora, once already, and had missed that opportune moment. Or so she convinced herself. “I don’t remember anything,” she admitted, feeling a little more at ease that the girl was aware of the phenomenon. “And I’m.. I’m working on being alright, thank you.”
