Please stop telling me that I need to be married or in a relationship. I’m young, single, and successful. I don’t need a man to make my life complete.

Also, please stop trying to make me feel like a weirdo for choosing to spend time with my family. I love them and I won’t have my parents forever. I want to spend time with them while they’re around. 

Protozoans from the Vorticella group attach themselves to plant matter with long stalks, inside which is a fiber called a myoneme. When stimulated, the myoneme contracts at a rate of 100 lengths per second, faster than any known muscle. This contraction causes the stalk to coil and condense, allowing Vorticella to “evade” from a potential predator. After several seconds, the coil relaxes and is free to contract again.

Apparently it is.
