The Beauty and the societal beast.
The moon came out but the sun hadn’t set, an ecstatic beauty stole a breath!
Dusk
The dusk brings along a myriad of colours that has the capacity to mesmerise every living soul. While writing his famous book, ‘India 2020’, our beloved former president, Mr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam would have never imagined that the year 202
Repost from WordPress and Tumblr https://devyanisharma.art.blog/ The term 'Literature' encompasses written as well as the oral works that have a long lasting impact and at times, a superior artistic merit. Literature is a mirror that reflects the basic instincts of humans. It has the capacity to provide solutions, render relief and open up new horizons of perspectives. It shows us that everything we are experiencing at present is not new or peculiar - it has happened before and will happen again in the future. It is an invaluable part of human history and serves as a bridge, connecting the past to the present. Literature usually deals with a varied range of stories and characters that seem to belong to a different world altogether. But actually, these stories and characters hold a very close resemblance to the real world. The reader /audience can take away anything from a piece of literature. Some might find the meaning of true love while some find a solution that he/she could have never imagined before. Some might find literature to be a place of solace while the others might find it to be a wonderful exercise of a mind. Since everybody's perspective is defined by what the heart desires for, the meaning of a piece of literature varies. It is astonishing to see that how a work written centuries ago is still so relatable in the present. Geoffrey Chaucer's most famous character, The Wife of Bath, in the Canterbury Tales, is iconic. She is a rule breaker and holds a very different opinion on love and life in general. Her character was well ahead of her times then, and continues to be even today. Also, may it be Shakespeare's character of Macbeth, depicting political ambitions and various psychological effects of it or Louisa Mary Alcott's Jo March, an independent and daring women of the 1840s, they continue to be relatable. The audience/reader can still identify him/her with these characters. Thus, literature can be seen as a mirror which is influenced by the society and imitates human actions, feelings and emotions, a true reflection of the mind. #literature #literaturestudent #englishliteraturesociety #wordsofwisdom #blogger #bloggerlife #blogposts https://www.instagram.com/p/CBLGfIIlf4l/?igshid=tqit4qpp1x6o
