Dx'd OCD, Hypoglycemia, and dealing with unknown joint pain bull
A blog that exists basically just so I have a place to post fanart and such
Currently obsessing over Moon Knight (And if I remembered to lock the door.)
This blog is sfw, however I do swear like a sailor and sometimes discuss darker subjects.
Feel Free to Reblog
If I unfollow you, know it's not personal, I'm just still getting used to this.
Hello! Welcome! I go by Dee here on the interwebs, She/her pronouns!
I have been diagnosed with OCD and have threatened to bite people who make perfectionist jokes about it. You have been warned.
This blog mainly started as somewhere to post fanart, but has slowly grown to be 'general fandom rambles'. Largely whatever I'm currently obsessing over - which is currently Moon Knight (both the MCU and the Comics but mostly the 2021 run and beyond because that's what I know the most about).
Other fandom interests include: Star Wars(Mainly sequels/animated series), 9-1-1(ABC), more general MCU stuff, and Spiderverse.
If you reply to a post of mine and I don't respond PLEASE don't take it personally. I promise it's almost certainly not you, I've just never been good at responding to things like that, so please know even if I don't respond I DO see it and am thankful for your input.
I have two RP Blogs, both for Moon Knight OC's!
@suns-sand (Riley Koening)
@theaanswers (Thea Kaplan.)
My A03, if you wanna read my crap.
This blog is sfw, however I do swear like a sailor and on occasion may discuss darker topics.
This blog will NEVER interact with/reblog any form of 'interact/do this or this will happen/you are a horrible person' content (Chainmail, etc.) as I Personally find it to be a potential trigger as an individual with OCD. Thank you for understanding.

I just started reading the most recent issue of Marc Spector: Moon Knight and while I can't speak for the actual plotline yet (Because I haven't read it) I gotta admit the opening lines of the crawl.. blurb..recap..thing
"Marc Spector is desperate. A transdimensional, living house called the Mansion Ravenous has devoured his friends and family. Marc rushed headlong into the house with his sentient, soul-stealing sword, Ginarr."
Is the EXACT kind of incredibly wild out of context (and somewhat wild in context too, honestly) statement that made me interested/fall in love with the comics in the first place.
It dawned on me that the end of June was the anniversary of the first 'proper' post I made talking about my random thoughts on the 2021 run, and it got me thinking about how far I've come.
Like. Imagine telling summer of 2025 Dee that she would go on to get just. So much love and support on a silly little chatfic she wasn't even sure she should post and gotten to have so many wonderful fandom interactions all because she decided she'd read that run in particular because she was interested in the concept of a character she liked working with vampires and a living house.
I've also gone on to read the Lemire/Smallwood run (Ofc), the Bemis run (which was. Certainly a thing I did. Yay for Diatrice?) and everything since the 2021 run ended (I'm now even up to date with the current run! Yay!) and have found such a lovely little home within this community.
On an even sappier (and personal) note, I've been dealing with some very not great things in my life over the last couple years (Mostly related to some undiagnosed health stuff and some not great living/familial situations) and admittedly this fandom has been a nice reprieve from it. I hope that makes sense.
I love our little fandom, and I'm so glad this is the one I choose to become a relatively active member of. Here's to more chatfic chapters and silly little Headcanon posts and maybe one day I'll even actually draw something for a change.
Being a Moon Knight fan DOES mean that Everytime I'm playing a game with character customization and I unlock a nose bandage I WILL immediately put it on my character no questions asked.
Because anything can be a reference if you really want it to be.
Midnight Mission Headcanons Part 2: Knight at The Midnight Mission edition
I. I don't have a good explanation for the title beyond the fact that if you've been reading the Chatfic(tm. But not really I do that to be silly If you're new here.) it's a play on the title of the group chat. Which is in turn a play on the title of the Night At The Museum films. So take that as you will...
Anyway. A batch of hot off the press (not really a lot of these have been stewing for A WHILE) Midnight Mission centric headcanons! Because apparently this is just what I do now when I'm trying to lull myself out of an anxiety..something or other.. (I mean. It works. So.)
Anyway.
Let's get started, shall we
(I'm going to try and group these by character instead of the jumping around mess the last one of these was but uh. We'll see how long that lasts.)
(Some of these might not really count as 'Headcanons' in the more traditional sense but I don't really know where else to put them aside from a random chatfic chapter, so)
(I'm also going to try and avoid mentioning ones I've already talked about in the Chatfic, because I either want to go further in depth on some of them or write specfic based on them)
Diatrice got to stay at The Mission the night of Marc's birthday party, because I just...feels like it makes since, y'know? Anyway. Marc, having not seen her [mumbles] years, attempts to do the dad thing and do her hair. It goes. Not. Steven tries, Jake tries even harder. But in the end Greer and Reese end up having to assist before it gets any worse. In the end, Marc wakes up with his hair braided. He doesn't even care.
Related: that same night, Reese and Dia end up spending 90% of the time pranking 8-Ball.
Further Related: Reese and Dia have stayed in contact with each other in some way or another since they first met. They're buddies, your honor. (Reese gives off 'Cool Older Sister/Cousin' energy. I'm not elaborating.)
Dia refers, completely accidentally, to Soldier's mother as 'Grandma Soldier' no one says anything to stop her. It sticks even after she's back with her mother.
Or. I guess. Would it be Babushka?
Guess that means we're switching gears to Soldier.
I've mentioned my 'Soldier Knits' Headcanon before..I think. Reese (and later William) asks him to teach her. It lasts all of a week.
Soldier has a soft spot for Seventies (and Late Sixties/Early Eighties) TV Shows. His favorites are the procedurals and medical dramas. Some of them are pretty obscure. Occasionally he'll reference one and then remember that not everyone knows what he's talking about.
A part of me almost wants to relate that to @jujapaya (forgive the random tag)'s AMAZING Headcanon about Soldier's family having some form of Russian background. (That I kind of nodded to above) Perhaps that was one of the ways he learned English? I have to think more about it.
OKAY LETS TALK ABOUT MY GIRL REESE.
Yeah i. I think I have a noticable favorite (Stares at the list of headcanons I've both mentioned in previous posts and the chatfic.. and ones I have in my head.) I just. I. I dunno. Vampires?
Jake once tried to teach her some Yiddish. End text.
She's the host of a weekly Stardew Valley night on a Co-op game between Her, Jake, and Soldier, of all people. They have a ridiculous amount of mods installed. She claims it's to help relax. None of their playstyles reflect that.
She has some very slight telepathic vampire abilities that she uses very rarely. And that is usually just to bother Marc and/Or Jeff(8-Ball)
She had an interest in Historical fashion before being turned into a vampire, and sometimes still wears long wool 'walking skirts' in the winter. And She sometimes still carries a Parasol post-blood hunt 'Vampires can go outside now' (because I just love the idea that even though they can they still burn ridiculously easy.)
Most of my headcanons for Dr. Badr are ones I've shared before but here's some I don't think I've brought up yet:
He has a collection of books on Vampire Physiology and some very OLD, obscure books about caring for Vampires in a medical setting. If asked, he'll say he'd rather be prepared. He leaves out the fact that it's preparation Incase something ever happens to the vampire kids.
also can I just take a moment to scream about the fact that he literally (more or less) calls them that at one point. I am soft.
Following off that, him and Reese have kind of a weird, uneasy bond over their respective Vampire related trauma. Because I'm sorry but someone is not turned into a Vampire against their will and just gets over it. I know there's like. One scene early one where Reese is kind of talking to Marc about it, but I doubt it didn't have some kind of effect on her. And I just. Like the idea of Badr and Her gradually forming a kind of "We both went through something kinda similar, and that sucks" type bond as they both learn to live with each other. (Does that make sense I hope that made sense) (I once actually started a fic for this one and just. Never finished it. Maybe I'll do something for it in the chatfic, idk.)
He isnt't really sure how to deal with kids when they aren't like. Very sick or very badly injured or otherwise in distress. His way of bonding with Diatrice (on the rare times she's around.) is teaching her how to use a Khopesh and regaling her with stories of Khonshu. Marc has definitely taken 'Uncle Hunter's Moon' aside before for a conversation.
He is perma banned from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. No one 100% knows why. But they definetly can guess.
Onto the moon boys. Because I'm sure y'all have been on the edge of your seats for the exactly two headcanons I have I haven't shared yet:
(This one somewhat relates to one I've mentioned in the Chatfic) Cane User Moon Boys. End Post. They all have different styles, and Marc has one that goes with the Mr. Knight suit and has a bird skull for a handle. It is entirely uncomfortable to hold and absolutely not practical for any weight bearing, but with how dramatic he is I can completely see him being that committed to the aesthetic.
(If you're curious: Jake prefers an inexpensive metal collapsible one, Steven has the most cliche custom wooden one ever, Marc has one that turns into like. His Escrima Sticks (I think that's what those are??? I know nothing about things like this that aren't archery related. Also sidebar but why doesn't Moonie have a bow. Is it too close to Hawkeye? Or does Khonshu not want to use something associated with another Pantheon?) or something.)
Remember that kid from City of The Dead - Khalil, I think his name was? - Yeah, he still sometimes stops by the Mission, even now that he has his brother back. Marc even talks to the brother sometimes! At one point, he offers to introduce him to Diatrice. Before long there is a small gaggle of childern and pre-teens holding regular meetings (not playdates, meetings) at the Mission and it is completely his fault. Greer thinks it's great. William is involved.
(And now I think I need to do a fic like this.)
Okay that's it that's all I've got (I apologize to Greer and 8-Ball because I genuinely haven't really come up with anything else yet.)

And no ones made an animatic to the "Thats My Boy/No My Boy!/Father Help!" Bit from asdfmovie with Marc and Khonshu (or, probably more likely in terms of canon, Badr and Khonshu) yet WHY?

Spent the evening playing clue (for the first time in some time) with some friends because it was nice out and we wanted something to do-
I now desperately need a fan made version set in the Midnight Mission where the rooms change order after every turn. No I do not care if that's not a mechanic in the original game, if monopoly can add mechanics as they please than so can clue.
My new favorite thing has become reading through post-show fanfics and seeing Dr. Sterman randomly get named drop in whatever context. Especially if it's a writer who leans more into the show side of things.
We all collectively looked at the fact that this man has had exactly one (1) good therapist and went "Yeah okay y'know what, this needs to be canon in every universe"
I have exactly zero idea about the canoncity of vampire telepathy in marvel but the fact that we haven't really gotten much detail (that I know of) about it is a shame tbh
Anyway, new Headcanon: Reese and Soldier regularly communicate with each other telepathically (usually poking fun at someone lightheartedly), and the only other person who knows about it is the Midnight Mission itself. Because it usually joins in.
No ones sure where the dog came from. With what they do, it's probably not even actually a dog. It sort of just..showed up one day.
Much to everyone's (well, mostly everyone's, Reese and Greer not included) surprise, taking the dog (or dog like creature) under the wing of the Mission was Marc's idea in the first place.
At first, the dog just hangs out in Marc's office, or some of the disappearing and reappearing bedrooms belonging to the vamps, always willing to cuddle up with its favorite people (or creature of the night. Or even Greer and William, but that depends.)
It's actually Dr. Sterman that brings up the idea of letting the dog greet civilians/visitors to the mission, since almost always they're seeking help and distraught. "Petting a dog can lower cortisol levels." She mentions, one day when Marc mentions the animal. She goes into more detail, about how she'd wondered about the mission having some form of therapy animal while she was assisting with refugees during the Blood Hunt (side bar, I still really want to do either a fic or chatfic chapter about what that entailed because they've never really explained that in the comics and it bothers me.)
It's not long after that that the dog gets a bed in the reception area, always ready for the next person to come in, always there to sit with them while they speak to Marc, or Badr, or occasionally Reese when the other two are busy with whatever godly shenanigans they've gotten up to now. And when the team goes out, the dog helps patrol the mission for any intuders it may have missed because like I said it's probably not a 'real' dog given everything else about the midnight mission.

Incredibly Specific Headcanon: Dr.Yehya Badr, despite his outward personality, drinks coffee that is less coffee and more so 'Milk and Sugar with Coffee Flavoring'.
Marc Spector, not that he'd ever admit it, prefers creamer but still dumps a half ton of sugar into it, and has them put some kind of chocolate in it. In a ridiculous amount.
Jake Lockley has the most 'Typical' coffee order, somewhere right in the middle of dark and light, and not too sweet but not too bitter. He does absolutely go to Dunkin and get an iced coffee with a donut stuck on it though he feels like he'd do that tbh.
The only one of these people who drinks straight black coffee as expected is Steven Grant, of all people.
Unfortunately I do also now have the image of Jake with a large Dunkin Iced Coffee and a Donut stuck on stop in my head because he will forever both be a sentimental AND chaotic man in my head.
(maybe I should draw that. Use this blog for it's intended purpose. For once.)
