I know that Marc's brain chemistry has been altered by Khonshu, but I like to think that's just a symptom of an overall change in the avatars.
Marc & Yehya being uncanny to other superheroes is a headcanon I'm really coming to love. There's something different about them, something wrong that no one can really point out but everyone absolutely senses it. Paired with the fact they are followed around by a pair of red-eyed vampires? Yeah the Mission as a very particular reputation.
I think it adds a lot to Marc & Greer's relationship too. Maybe she's immune because she's also blessed by a deity, and she sees it as a lesser form of her stripes. Or maybe Greer does see it, and is happy to look past it, because well... she is the werewoman, how can she judge?
Marc, of course, is completely oblivious. He's used to people being unsettled by him. When you carve moons into the faces of your enemies, people tend to be cautious. Yehya however, knows it from his access to the chorus. Most of the time he is indifferent, he's not a particularly social man anyway. But I think once in a while a patient finds him off-putting, struggles to trust him for a reason they can't quite place their finger on, and that is definitely very upsetting for him.
I also like to think Sterman has absolutely noticed it and has read about the effect. She just can't bring herself to break the news. Marc says a cashier looked at him funny for some reason, she just politely smiles and nods.
As for Zodiac... I think he finds it quite charming!
A Wager for Dinner
College Med Student AU Yehya Badr x Reader Tags: Fluff, Hurt/Comfort, College AU βββββββββββββββββββΒ°. βΰΌΊβ½β―βΎΰΌ»β. Β°βββββββββββββββββββ First semester rankings wereΒ finally posted. Students squeezed shoulder to shoulder, trying to find their names before everyone else did. Some cheered, some groaned, and some were already calculating how much they needed to improve next semester. When the crowd thinned out he stood in front of the list stood taller than the bronze skinned man. "tenthβ¦eleventhβ¦ twelfth." There it was, Yehya Badr sat at twelfth placeβ¦ acceptable, but not enough. βββββββββββββββββββΒ°. βΰΌΊβ½β―βΎΰΌ»β. Β°βββββββββββββββββββ -3 weeks ago- You rested your chin on the table, watching him read. "So..." He didn't look up. "...Yes?" "Want to make a bet?" "...On what?" "If either of us makes Top 10 this semester... the one who ranks lower buys dinner." Only then did Yehya lift his eyes from his textbook. "...Very well." "You didn't even hesitate." "I generally perform well in environments with minimal distractions." "Oh?" "You appear to possess..." He glanced towards a different where your friends sat, oneΒ of them waving. "...Considerably more distractions." "Jealous much?~" βββββββββββββββββββΒ°. βΰΌΊβ½β―βΎΰΌ»β. Β°βββββββββββββββββββ His eyes wander looking for a certain name. "sixthβ¦" Your name sat proudly beside it. He stared at it for a second before remembering the conversation. Wellβ¦ he had lost, there isn't much to say. Besides, he spent most of his time alone anyway. One evening eating with someone else wouldn't be unpleasant. βββββββββββββββββββΒ°. βΰΌΊβ½β―βΎΰΌ»β. Β°βββββββββββββββββββ He spotted you near the courtyard. A small group surrounded youβ¦
You were quiet with your friends, but dominated the conversation whenever it came to the both of you alone.
You avoided large crowds; so did he.
Both the type to choose a corner seat over the center of the room.
Both people who could spend hours alone without complaint.
But your loneliness was different.
You had people who noticed when you disappeared.
People who looked for you.
People who saved a place for you.
Yehya wasn't sure he had ever had that.
Perhaps because his silence felt like a wall, while yours felt like an open door.
He listened from afar.

Β "You survived the exam results?"
One of your friends joked.
You looked up from your notebook.
"Barely."
"Barely? You got sixth."
"That's still below first."
A friend delivered a gentle wack of annoyance to her head.
Then one of your friends stretched.
"Anyway, we're getting dinner after this."
They looked at you.
"You're coming, right?"
You looked up.
"Tonight?"
"Yeah. We haven't celebrated yet."
Another friend nodded.
"Come on, you deserve a break."

He adjusted his glasses.
For a moment, he considered walking over.
But then he looked at the group around you.
The easy laughter. The comfortable conversations.
You already had a place there.
He didn't want to disrupt it.
So he quietly left, convincing himself there would always be another chance to talk.
Past the buildings. Past the usual crowded areas. Toward the farthest corner of the university. A place almost nobody visited, an old bridge stood there, worn down from years of weather. Underneath it was cool shade and an old bench that looked like it was made by the students that already graduated; imperfect, yet steady
He sat beneath the bridge and began studying.

A stack of books landed directly on his head. Yehya froze, slowly, he looked up. You stood in front of him with your arms crossed.
He adjusted his glasses. "...Good afternoon."
You stared. "Good afternoon?"
"...Yes."
"I've been looking everywhere for you. Don't tell me you're too embarrassed to admit you lost~"
His expression shifted slightly.
"Don't tell me you're desperate for a free meal?"
"β¦Was the supposed to hurt?"
He went back to the page, she fixed the books.
"Come on. You lost."
He gathered his notes. "...I assumed you forgot."
You paused. "Forgot what?"
"The bet."
You looked at him.
"Why would I forget?"
"You seemed busy."
"Because I was talking to my friends?"
You stared at him.
"Yehya."
"Yes?"
"You are buying me dinner. You don't get to disappear just because you saw me talking to people."
A brief silence. A rare, genuine smile touched his lips, hidden by the fact that his head remained lowered. "...That is a fair argument."

The restaurant was a short distance. Even, so the man never fails to make it awkward with his quiet nature.
"You..."
Yehya looked at you.
"You really thought I'd forget?" she asks trying to break the silence
"...Yes."
"Why?"
He adjusted his glasses before responding "...Because I don't usually expect people to choose me."
You went quiet.
Then lightly flicked his forehead.
"Then get used to it."
"...That may take time."
"I've got plenty."
For some reason...
Those words stayed with him.
