What is something that was never addressed at all in the canon material that you have independently developed for your muse?

Luna’s dad, mom, and the past of the Quibbler. I wanted there to be a reason her father made up all these creatures, despite hard evidence, even going as far as believing something that is proven to exist is something else. The books just pass him off as some crazy guy and the only tidbits we get about her mother other than her death came after the fact. I like exploring what her life was like before her mother’s passing and how much it changed afterwards.

What is an aspect of your muse’s canon material or canon existence that you never had the opportunity to explore but really want to?

Hm, I did get to explore it, albeit very briefly, and I would love to explore it more. Luna’s time during her imprisonment at Malfoy Manor. I know in canon not much probably happened, but that’s what great about RPing, you can take that basic idea from canon and run with it. 

What plots/interactions leave you feeling protective of your muse?

Do you have any controversial headcanons that go against what is generally accepted by the fandom? Do you incorporate this into writing your muse or keep it to yourself?

I don’t think anything I headcanon is particularly controversial, though maybe I am wrong. At first I was worried about choose an alt faceclaim that wasn’t Hunter Schafer, since her face and Luna being trans became a really big fandom headcanon especially after J.K. Rowling’s whole thing. I didn’t follow it since it’d be a fundamental change to a character I’ve been rping as for six years- and I wasn’t ready for that, but I didn’t want people to think poorly of me either.

“I’m sure you’re reaching loads of people that way,” Neville agreed. It was a lovely thought, actually putting a bit of yourself out into the world for others to see and take in. To entertain and uplift after everything that had happened lately.

“Yeah, I know there is. Still, I don’t think I could do it. Magic’s too big a part of me to not talk about.” He shrugged. “Even the muggles in London give me a hard time sometimes. But I think everyone in London’s just a bit ruder. Not like in a place like this. Everything’s slower. More peaceful. Yeah… I can see why you’d like it here.”

He slowly circled the room, taking in every detail. “Will I get to read one of these books of yours?”

Luna nodded, a small smile on her lips. “I don’t think I’ve used magic outside of communication in...” Her voice trails off. Honestly, Luna didn’t even know where her wand was. She had a nasty habit now a days of being forgetful. “It is peaceful here... I should start the tea.” She suddenly declared as she moved towards the small kitchen, which was in eyesight of the living room.

Harry returned her smile. He always liked talking to her; she had a very calming presence in his opinion, even if he couldn’t always quite follow her, or felt like he was missing something obvious when she talked about things. But in a good way. In any case, he appreciated her showing her support. He just didn’t know how to thank her for it.

“Yes, it’s…going to change everything.” There was no denying it, no matter how hard some people still tried to. Though if he was being honest, anything that would come after, seemed so far out of his reach, that he didn’t think about it. He didn’t have to plan ahead. To prepare himself for an after. It was agony and peace. “It’s out of our control - just make sure you’ll be around.”

She opened her eyes again, focusing them on Harry’s. Usually her eyes were out of focus, almost like she was looking through the person instead of at them, but this time it was clear she was staring into his eyes. Her soft smile didn’t falter, even at the topic they were discussing. “I will be.” 

    “There really is,” Harry agreed with a nod. When he’d been younger, he used to think that his parents were up there with the stars watching over him. “Yeah? That must have been a nice moment to share with her. I’m sure your mother was happy to have that memory with you. Most likely she’d be happy you remember too.” In a way he found that he related to Luna, they had both lost people that they cared about. Though unfortunately he didn’t really remember much from his parents. Turning his gaze back toward the sky, he noticed one of the fireworks shoot off similarly to a shooting star. “It’s not a shooting star, but that firework almost looked like one. I wonder if these are some of the ones that Fred and George made.”
