it's     uncomfortable,           tight     in     places     i     want     to     rip     at     and     itchy     in     ways     only     achievable     by     the     thrift     store     quality     of     my     upbringing,           but     i     find     myself     more     annoyed     by     the     kicking     and     whining     of     it     all,           the     push     and     the     pull     that     continues     waning     and     waxing     and     waning     and     waxing     and     wa──                  “           that's     fucking     stupid.           ”

i     understand     its     blunt,           but     that's     by     intention,           a     design     so     ingrained     in     layers     of     bullshit     and     the     past     month     that     it     fails     to     shiver     off     the     droplets     no     matter     how     much     i     shake     like     a     wet     dog                  ;                  no     matter     how     much     i     claw     at     the     gasping     body     that     is     our shared     history.                 “           we     ain't     never     gonna     be     the     same     period.                  don't     credit     one     event     like     its     gonna     define     every     little     bit     of     your     skinny     ass.           ”                  my     elbow     finds     @wormindex 's     ribcage,           prodding     and     bruising     but     significantly     light     in     subtle     comparison     to     the     world     about.

i     figure     he's     got     enough     pain     to     weigh     him     into     the     earth     and     sink     him     like     a     paper     boat     anyhow.

i turn my head a little. not fully. i’m not committing to eye contact in a moment like this. that’s how you get trapped in sincerity, something i have spent years carefully avoiding.
