rocky hunting grace while hes working like heh. going to pull big prank on grace. stupid human hearing so bad very bad and only 'see' with light-sense organ in one direction at a time. eridian best hunter on all erid, evolved best hunting veeeery quiet. scare grace a lot. very funny.
rocky is HORRIFIED mid stalk when grace suddenly stiffens and turns around to stare directly at him. HOW GRACE DO THAT HOW GRACE KNOW HOW GRACE KNOW
k but imagine Rocky wanting to learn about how humans became the apex predators of their planet so he has Grace “hunt” him in the biodome as an experiment and during it he thinks Grace isn’t trying or taking it seriously which is bad bad bad because this is for research purposes
only for Rocky to get more and more tired as the experiment goes on just to realize that Grace isn’t which makes him panic so he puts as much distance as he can between them and finds a (hopefully) safe spot to sleep and when he wakes up the human is crouching over him like “got youuu” and Rocky has never shrieked so damn loud before in his life

rabbot headcanon:
One day while lounging on the couch, wrapped up in each other, Jack tells Robby that his family called him "rabbit" growing up. Robby thinks that’s funny because his grandma called him "Mishka" (aka little bear).
From then on, whenever they see a rabbit or a bear out and about, they snap a pic and send it to each other. They never realized how often they came across rabbits and bears until they started doing this.
Robby’s at a book store, eyes roving over spines, searching for a particular title. He pauses and smiles to himself as his eyes land on a book with an illustrated rabbit on its cover. He automatically reaches into his pocket to pull out his phone.
Jack's doing their weekly grocery shop. He turns down the coffee/tea aisle and spots the bear shaped honey bottle. A wry grin spreads across his face. He’s already composing the text in his mind as he reaches for his cell.
Sometimes the pics are accompanied by a joke (mostly Jack), other times a “thinking of you” (Robby). At this point, they've been doing it for so long, it’s often just the photo. An unspoken way to say, even when you aren’t with me, I always look for you.
Actually they’re family

Jack comes home after shift to find Robby's bike in his driveway. He's worried, Robby left last night with little fanfare. Off on some gallavanting attempt to disappear, and Jack spent 14 hours scared he'd never see him again
Except there he is in his bed, curled under the blankets.
Brown eyes peek at him, shining from the spilling bathroom light.
"Hey."
Robby doesn't respond.
Just rolls back over.
Jack takes his time getting ready for bed — waiting for Robby to come out. To explain why he came here instead of ditching town.
He doesn't.
So Jack showers, eats, brushes his teeth, watches the news until his eyes burn.
Then, he crawls into bed, sliding until he's wrapped around Robby and holds him.
Robby's hand tangles with his over his stomach, breathing even as they both slip into sleep.
Jack isn't surprised he wakes up alone. Robby's scent lingering on his sheets, pillow dented like he just got up to go to the bathroom.
He doesn't move.
Lays there instead wondering if Robby was ever really there or it was some conjuring of Jack's fears.
Robby left, leaving Jack's chest split open with missing him.
Dr. Robby + reading glasses
Sorry to keep beating y'all over the head with omegaverse Rabbot but I love it too much
—
At his big, technically geriatric, age, Robby decides to have a baby.
He's always wanted one, even before he presented, he would dream of being pregnant and having his own little pup to love and help grow into real, functioning adult. (You're kids having it better than you and all that) But he never mated, and subsequently, was never pupped.
So off he goes to the clinic. They ask him more questions than necessary and give him a laundry list of risks he's more susceptible to, but he stands firm. This is what he wants, and he's going to get it.
They give him some sample smells of alphas they have... "donations" from, and one jumps at him immediately.
It smells delectable. Potent and head-swirling, maybe a little familiar, but he can't place it.
Over the next nine months, Robby's excitement grows with his belly. There was a small part of him that was worried he won't be a fit mother, but with each passing day he's more and more certain he made the right choice.
And he isn't nearly as alone in this as he thought he would be. Dana brings him an extra lunch every day, and the other nurses check on him like he's one of their patients. His residents lurk worse than security, and once Santos is brave enough to ask if she can feel his bump, a line forms behind her. No one is more surprised than Robby at how much he's enjoying the attention.
Even Jack is getting in on the fussing. More than anyone else, if Robby is being honest. At first, he was happy for Robby, though a little more stiff-lipped in his congratulations than the omega would've liked, but once he hit twelve weeks and the pregnancy began to affect Robby's scent, he did a complete 180.
He starts coming over to Robby's house on his nights off and preparing his meals. He helps baby-proof the house to a degree even the pediatrics department would find excessive. He researches the best car seats.
"You know you're not my alpha, right?" Robby jokes one night. Jack is sitting on the floor, rubbing Robby's feet after practically begging to the entire evening.
Jack stiffens. "No, I know." His voice is strange, as if Robby can hear him having an out-of-body experience. "Where is your alpha?"
"I don't have one."
That answer doesn't impress him. "Where's the alpha responsible for them?" He says.
"Dunno." Robby shrugs, "The miracles of IVF."
The massage stops. "IVF?"
"Mhm." Robby kicks at him. "Keep going."
Jack's hands continue their movements, but his grip is looser. Less focused. He's staring at Robby's bump as if he can do an ultrasound with his naked eye. "What clinic?"
"Aspire. It's near the Pitt."
Jack nods in a daze. "Yeah..."
After that, Jack becomes even more involved if that’s possible. He insists on driving Robby to and from work on days they don’t have a handover and on the days the do, he stays at the hospital under the guise of paperwork, but Robby can feel Jack’s eyes on him at all times.
Jack starts to linger at PTMC for hours on his days off. Sometimes arriving in the middle of a shift for no real reason. He tends to blame admin, but as Chief Robby is aware of all the scheduled meetings and even if he wasn’t, Jack never goes upstairs. He stays firmly parked at the hub where he has the best view of the ED.
Robby tries to shoo him off. Siting an obvious lack of sleep, but Jack won’t budge.
“If you don’t knock this off I’m moving you to the day shift,” Robby threatens.
“Okay.”
Princess and Perlah get a week’s worth of gossip out of that.
Robby is three days past his due date, and though he didn’t follow through with his threat, Jack is still at the day shift keeping a close eye on him. Too close. Robby can feel the heat from him.
“The baby’s hungry,” he says. Recently, Jack hasn’t been interested in doing anything Robby asks, but if the baby needs something, consider it already done.
“I’ll grab you a sandwich,” Jack says.
“Nope. Baby wants a slice of pizza from the Lou’s.”
Jack gnaws at his lip. “Lou’s is kinda far.”
“We’re good here,” Robby assures.
“But—“
“Get Lou’s, and I’ll sit in the break room to eat it.”
Jack perks up at the thought of Robby being off his feet, and though he’d never admit it, it’s appealing to Robby too. “Okay. 30 minutes. 45, tops.”
Once he’s gone Dana shakes her head. “You’re giving that poor man the run around.”
“I am not.”
“You shouldn’t even be here when you’re this close to popping.”
“Delightful,” Robby says. “I know he means well, but I needed a break.”
“I get it.”
“Don’t tell Jack,” he says under his breath. “But I’ve been having contractions.”
Dana rips her glasses off. “Jesus, Mary and Joseph. What the hell are you doing here?”
“A hospital is an ideal place to be during labor.”
“Don’t get smart.” She holds her folded readers like a threat. “We need to get you up to Labor and Delivery.”
“No, we don’t. I could be in labor for hours before the baby actually arrives.”
“I’m calling someone in for a replacement,” she says. “You can head to the third floor or you can wait to tell Jack when he gets back and he’ll take you.”
“Oh, come on.”
“Or I’ll tell him.” She shakes her head. “Coming into work while in labor…”
“It’s not like my water broke.”
Just to weaken his argument, another contraction hits, more painful than any of the others. Robby bends at the waist, one hand flying to the small of his back and wheezes.
“No, nope,” Dana says, wrapping her arms around his shoulders. “I’m taking you upstairs now, or it won’t be Jack I’m calling, it’ll be Gloria.”
Robby tries to glare, but it’s undercut by the obvious discomfort on his face. "Fine."
Dana gets him situated with the Labor and Delivery staff and makes it clear that they're to treat him like a prisoner.
"He's a flight risk," she says. "You don't have an eye on him; he'll be back in my ED trying to teach the kids."
So Robby is standing, hands on the bed for balance, with his own private nurse guiding him through stretches and, more importantly, making sure he doesn't leave.
Not that he would. Maybe it's his mind playing tricks on him now that he's in the delivery room, but the contractions seems to have gotten closer together, and breathing is taking more effort. The nurse is offering words of encouragement, but they wash over him unappreciated. His pride hates to admit it, but he wishes Jack were here.
Ten minutes later, his prayers are answered.
"What the hell, Mike?" Jack looks more sad than mad. "You should've called me as soon as your contractions started."
"Technically, they started before I came into work."
Jack closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. "I didn't hear that."
As an apology, Robby lets Jack help him into the bed. Once he's settled, Jack sits in the chair at his side.
"No pizza?"
"The second Dana told me where you were, I gave it to the kids," he says, digging around in his bag. "You can't be eating heavy stuff like that in labor. Here." He hands over a banana and a sleeve of crackers.
"This isn't your usual bag," Robby says as he peels the banana.
"It's a go-bag. I kept one in my locker just in case."
"You really don't have to be doing all this. I appreciate it, but I knew I would be doing this on my own when I got pregnant."
"No, I know, but..."
The obstetrician interrupts them. She checks Robby's dilation and offers to begin prepping an epidural.
When they're alone again, Jack stands. "Okay. I was going to wait and do this after the birth, because I might be wrong, in which case I do still want to help you. Truly, Mike. Don't think I'm going to disappear if this doesn't go my way--"
"What?"
Jack takes a deep breath. "I think you're pregnant with my pup."
"What?"
"At the end of your first trimester, I started... I don't know. Needing to be near you. I want to help you because you're my friend, but it was more than that I needed to make sure you were healthy, and happy, and comfortable."
"Uh, huh."
"And I thought it was because I've been wanting to court you."
"Jack, what? What the fuck are you talking about?"
"Please, let me finish. I swear I'll answer any questions you have."
Another contraction hits. Robby curls forward with a groan, and Jack is on him immediately. Rubbing soothing circles on his back and whispering. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah," Robby sighs when it subsides. "Tell me now."
"Right." He picks at a loose thread hanging from Robby's blanket. "My instincts were going crazy, and I thought it was just because of my feelings for you, but when you said you did IVF..." He takes a deep breath. "I donated to that clinic. A long time ago. Fifteen years ago. When I signed the paper, it said they would keep the sperm indefinitely until someone selected it, and they would send me a request for a newly scented item every six months until then."
Jack squirms on his feet.
"It's been ten months."
Robby lies back and counts the tiles on the ceiling. He thinks of all the kind things Jack has done for him during the pregnancy, and everything he did before. His longest friend. His emergency contact. Jack is kind, loyal, patient, empathetic; Robby could spend a year listing all of Jack's best qualities. He knows Jack is serious when he says he'll help even if the baby isn't his.
"Okay."
Jack glances up from the floor sheepishly. "Okay?"
"There are worse people to have a baby with," Robby says. "We'll find out after the delivery if you're right or not, and once we're back home we can talk about that courting thing you mentioned."
Jack's cheeks tint a dusty pink. The sight makes Robby's heart flutter, and his ego swell just a bit. He blushes so easily; it's nice to see it on someone else for a change.
Six hours and one baby later, Robby requests a DNA test even though it isn't necessary. Baby girl Robinavitch is born with a full head of shiny auburn curls he knows she didn't get from him.
"You did great," Jack whispers. He's leaning in close, admiring how she looks sleeping on Robby's chest.
"Couldn't have done it without you."
"You could've," Jack says. "You run an ED, you could've prepped for a baby."
"Oh, I meant it literally." Robby turns his head and takes Jack in. "If you play your cards right you might be able to put the next one in naturally."
That pretty blush is back. Robby hopes their daughter inherited it.
When you’re sleep-deprived, running on 3% and ask the demon in the corner for emotional validation
i like that jack's big, bold strategy for getting robby to listen to him in that last episode essentially boiled down to a full hour of staring intently at robby until he orbited his way back to him (because of course he would eventually, because he always does) and then once he had his attention, proceeding to following him around until he gave up trying to escape and let jack aggressively emote in his general direction until robby gave in and listened.
i'm dying to know if this plan was born from experience or instinct. has jack deployed that strategy on him before? robby knew he was being handled and tried to shake jack off for two full episodes before he gave in, so this is clearly not brand new behavior. how did jack discover this was the way to break through robby's defenses? how many times has robby tried to be emotionally distant with jack and jack just flat out refused to let him. it's like the fight leaves robby entirely. he lets jack care, unapologetically, in a way he does not (at least that we've seen) let anyone else. even with dana, who gets the closest to any other person on screen, but still he tries to be strong for her in the end, but with jack he resists and resists and resists and resists but then he gives in, and somehow jack knows that's how it's going to go, that he just has to tread lightly until he can wage a full on emotional attack, where robby will let him in and then he has to talk fast and show that he cares so much because he knows that when he finally wears robby down that's the only time he has a chance to make all of it land.
there's something very funny to me about the idea the jack has poured hours into coming up with a plan of attack with robby over the years, like the 'break glass in case of emergency plan', but it's basically just the jaws theme playing in his head while slowly encroaching into robby's personal bubble and his big finisher is somehow just him yelling "you're a fucking dumbass and you are so loved! let me love you, you stubborn asshole!!!!" paired with as much physical affection as robby will let him get away with. how many years has jack had to study this ridiculous man to have a "robby is being an idiot and thus i need to Act" plan just waiting in the wings, ready to deploy?

Going feral over the thought of Jack only calling Robby "Robby" in the hospital. At home he is Michael/Mikey/Misha. Jack doesnt use other words of endearment like darling or sweetheart cos I can see him using those at random for other people so it isn't special.
But barely anyone calls Robby by his given name so it like a big deal and makes Robby feel so soft!
Jack avoids doing it at the hospital but one day when Robby is spiralling or something bad just happens, Jack grabs his cheek and goes "Misha, look at me." And the others are a little shocked when it calms Robby immediately.
Also if the huckle joins the rabbot, Dennis carefully avoids calling Robby Michael/Mikey/Misha because he doesnt want to overstep even though he is literally squeezed between them in bed more often than not. Then Robby sleepily tells Dennis it's okay one night, he would like Dennis to use them too. And Dennis just softly kisses his forehead and shares a giddy grin with Jack before going "Go to sleep, Misha. We've got you"
