Whatever he was going to say died in his throat as he heard that Dina wasn’t entirely sure he was Ashe. That was…honestly partway hilarious and partway insulting. Was he that forgettable?

“I don’t want to ask but please tell me who else I could be?”

“Hell if I know. I’m just slow to learn faces is all,” Dina shrugs, a few crumpled bits of garbage falling out of his hand. “That’s why I made the book. Identification guide!” he says, beaming happily.

Ashe wasn’t exactly paying attention to where he was going, but it really wouldn’t have mattered either way. Not like he was expecting to run into a hall filled with what looked to be absolutely full of garbage, and someone making that garbage into a hellish trash sculpture. He almost trips on a bit of it, before backing up, thankfully light on his feet.

“What is this?”

“Hmm?” The sound of a voice snaps Dina away from his work for a moment. He smiles when he sees who it is.

“Oh hey there! You’re Ashe, right?” he pauses, suddenly unsure if he’s remembering right. Dina swiftly pulls out a small pocket book and flips through it, glancing up now and again.

“Yeah ok I’m thinking of the right person. I’m 93% sure you’re Ashe!”

Something to research in the library when he had the time, see if he could figure out where it came from. “You’re not human, then. Or…not entirely human.”

“No. Definitely not. But what I am is not important right now,” Dina sighs. “What’s important is my intentions, which are the same as I stated earlier. To explore, learn, and play.” that had been true from the start. Why would he need to lie about that?

Sylvain would really much rather know the truth than be left with these vague platitudes, but he didn’t think he’d get much more information out of Dina yet. “I’m good at keeping secrets,” he offered, very much doubting that that would help his case.

Dina huffs, slightly annoyed that Sylvain is so persistent. Yet he admires it in a way. “It’s not about secrets. It’s about keeping your sanity.” for once that cheery demeanor fades for a moment. A flash of light ripples through Dina’s pupils in that moment, and he doesn’t bother hiding it.

“But if you want a secret to sate your curiosity for now, I can give you one. My name’s actually Iophiel.”

The girls have snuck away from their own booth for a moment, leaving Hern to run it. "Can we get uhhhh. Broiled Tunannu Glowsacs and the Ground Manna Latte?" Sirra says, with a grin (smiles-and-sacrifices, their mother Cannot Stop Them)

“….” Dina can already tell these kids are gonna have quite the time with those choices.

Blue glowing organs from a Berian water creature. Pulses ominously.Effect: Consumer can breathe underwater for three hours, but breathing air becomes noticeably more difficult.

OBTAINED: Ground Manna Latte

A coffee drink infused with ground Manna. Has an alluring iridescent sheen and stays warm much longer than most drinks.Effect: Consumer feels immensely invigorated! Not to mention comfortably warm even in cool temperatures. Sleeping tonight might be difficult though…

Well, that was creepy. Unsettled, Sylvain shifted back in his chair. He wondered if he should have a quiet word with the professor about Dina, see if some digging could be done into where he was actually from. “I see,” he said, leaving it at that. Unsure what else to say, unsure if he should say anything else.

Dina can sense the nervousness in Sylvain, and sighs in defeat. “Look, to put it simply, yes, I’m not exactly normal. Pretty sure a lot of people here have caught onto that. However... I don’t feel it’s safe to reveal my true nature. Not to you. Not to anyone else. Not yet.” there’s an apologetic look on his face, as if he never meant to be so creepy.

Consumer will find themselves growing more hungry than usual though thanks to the boost in metabolism. Lasts six hours.

OBTAINED: Beads of Motivation

A beaded bracelet, with each bead being filled with a beautiful, sparkling green fluid. Gives off a faint glow.Effect: Wearer feels a rush of motivation to do things. May induce mania if worn for more than a half hour at a time.

“So much and yet so little. Details of which you need not know right now,” Dina replies ominously. He’s not normal, that much is obvious. Dina knows it’s obvious. He can only appear so human in the end.

“All you need to know right now is I’m here to learn and play. Nothing more, nothing less.”

Mark: "I don't know what Deep Fried Zizz is, but I want to try it. And you know what, why don't you surprise me with a souvenir choice, I'll pay whatever it costs."

“You got it! Ziz and a random souvenir coming right up!”

OBTAINED: Deep Fried Ziz

Meat that appears to be from some sort of bird, cut into strips and fried. Seems to “pop” in the mouth when eaten.Effect: Consumer can jump much higher than normal thanks to a “rocket” effect that seems to trail them, but they have a chance to get stuck in midair until brought down by other means. Lasts two hours.

OBTAINED: Lightfeather Necklace

A cute necklace with some very brightly glowing feathers adorned on it. Effect: Seemingly nothing… except maybe for the strange entities that can now be seen… all feathery and glowing and with lots of eyes… Unfortunately they can only be observed, not interacted with.

“Not sure about that...” Dina mutters. He’s not sure how to really explain that his homeland is simply not compatible for any normal person to traverse. “It’s... complicated. Like I said, the land is hostile to those not from there. I don’t mean the country has strict laws or anything, I mean the very space it inhabits. It’d... it’d be like a fish trying to live out of water.”
