Jason

I think it would be the obvious answer to say that he loves alt rock/metal, trash, grunge, and may I be so bold as to suggest... Progressive metal?

When I was curating a playlist for Jason I found myself picking a lot of progressive metal bands. I felt like the lyrics represented his character thematically and Jason being into prog would show a more youthful side of his character since the majority of prog metal fans range from teens to mid twenties.

I think that people often forget that Jason is in his early to mid twenties because of his brusque demeanor, so for me I feel like it would be fun if he showed his age a little in the music he listens to.

He keeps a record collection that is meticulously organized.

Jason can sometimes be spotted partaking in Gotham's underground music scene which is quite literally underground.

His helmet has built in speakers that he uses when riding around on his bike at night.

Dick

He will literally listen to any and every kind of music.

He jumps back and forth between listening to classic rock, europop, indie, folk, dubstep, and EDM.

Has a massive playlist that he shares with everyone he knows so they can add songs to it. He does this so can feel connected with his friends but also because he enjoys the variety.

One moment his radio is playing the most miserable grunge song you've ever heard and the next it's the most aggressive hyperpop.

He doesn't really own a big physical music collection he typically puts an earbud in and listens through a streaming service, however he does have CD's for the car (usually mix tapes that Tim has curated)

One of the many hobbies he picked up over the years was playing the guitar- which he plays by ear. He still has the acoustic guitar he got when he was younger but he gave his electric guitar to Jason (more like Jason stole it out of the attic).

He loves going to concerts, festivals, clubs and raves with his friends.

Tim

Huge punk and grunge rock fan, enjoys metalcore, synth pop, electronic rock and house music- like Dick he has a wide variety of musical interests.

Almost always listening to music- while looking at case files, during training, and while roaming the house like a sleep deprived phantom.

He prefers CDs and owns quite the collection of them, he burns his own which he typically gifts to friends.

He was classically trained in both the piano and violin as a kid but nothing really stuck. He could probably play one or two songs on the piano but he is not great at it by any means.

One of the things that Tim and Kon bonded over is their shared love for music- unfortunately Tim doesn't share Kon's love for dancing.

In an attempt to change this his friends frequently take him out to bars and clubs to go dancing but he just awkwardly stands there

Twice he got black out drunk, and according to his friends, he started breakdancing in the middle of the dance floor well enough to join the Olympic team.

He claims to have no memory of these incidents- but trust that the Gotham City Gazette will always remember.

Damian

Not gonna lie he is a complicated character to read. On the one hand I can easily see him listening to punk rock but his background is less rebellious and more pretentious? So I could just as easily see his music tastes being influenced by the League making him a bit of a snobbish classical music fan (at least until the bat fam makes it their mission to change his music taste).

He knows how to play both the violin and the viola.

Once while Damian was playing his violin at the manor Tim mistakenly (intentionally) called it a fiddle which resulted in Damian attempting to beat the ever loving crap out of him with the bow.

He listens to Ghibli soundtracks while he is drawing (His favorite movie is Princess Mononoke- you cannot change my mind on this)

He prefers softback books to hardbacks and DESPISES reading digitally.

It might have something to do with the type of books he had access to as a child-- used, battered, donations found in church charity shops. But I think he also prefers the way they feel in his hands and they're much easier to transport.

In an attempt to improve his relationship with his son post-pit, Bruce bought Jason a Kindle, which resulted in Jason not speaking to him for WEEKS.

Jason likes to drink tea while reading, he is truly a little old lady at heart. His favorite tea is chamomile but when he needs energy he drinks Alfred's favored Earl Grey or hot black coffee.

He really enjoyed playing baseball as a kid, however as an adult whenever he gets invited to watch a game (usually by Dick) it's not long before his nose is buried in a book.

He treats his books very delicately- no matter what state he purchases them in. They could be half chewed up and he would still take the time to dust them.

Jason used to annotate all of his books with pencil when he was younger but he has kind of fallen out of the practice. I think that annotation was less of a way for him to critically analyze his books and more as a mark of ownership having grown up with basically nothing.

He frequently got in trouble for staying up late reading on school nights for which he would often call Bruce a hypocrite and they would be stuck in a stubborn staring contest until Alfred forced them both to go to bed.

Despite being trained by Bruce I imagine that all of the Robins have rebelled a little when it comes to self expression, especially Dick and Jason as they grew older and adopted their own identities outside of being Robin.

Jason

Upon Jason's return to Gotham post-pit he found himself deliberately doing things to defy Bruce's rules, including getting multiple distinct body modifications, but it would later develop into him trying to discover his identity and rekindle his native Gothamite roots.

I think that out of all of the Batfam, Jason's vigilante identity is the closest to his actual personality and identity so there is a lot of bleed-over between Red Hood's fashion and expression and Jason's. For this reason Jason's piercings are designed to intimidate.

Jason has a total of eight: a nose bridge piercing, snake bites, a vertical eyebrow piercing, an industrial bar on his right ear, and a couple of lobe piercings on either side.

If you asked him which were the most inconvenient he would tell you that the industrial and the vertical were a total pain to heal with the constant rubbing from his helmet.

Now that all of his piercings have healed he takes them out before he goes on patrol save for the lobe piercings which are protected by the helmet.

Dick

Unlike Jason, he has minimal ear piercings: a single set of lobe piercings that he got while he was with the Titans at 16.

When Bruce found out he got them, instead of making Dick take them out, he just benched him until they healed-- which successfully discouraged Dick from getting anymore piercings until adulthood.

Shortly after Dick became Nightwing, still reeling from making such a huge life changing decision, he got drunk and impulsively got a navel piercing.

Despite the circumstances in which he got it, Dick loves his navel piercing. He even has a little elephant charm that he likes to put in when he goes out dancing.

One year during a Wayne Enterprises press release he wore a single diamond earring which made the press go absolutely wild. (There was actually supposed to be two earrings, but he lost one on the way to the event)

BPD is very lax about adhering to dress code due to its inherent corruption so he can get away with wearing simple small black studs at work.

Often forgets that he has his piercings in and can be seen scrambling to take them out before patrol gets started.

Tim

I feel like he would be practical enough to realize that having piercings in his line of work would not only be dangerous but stupid in hand to hand combat.

That is not to say that he hasn't...dabbled....

He has a single ear piercing that he got done after Kon offhandedly made a comment once about wanting to have matching earrings with a future partner. Tim spent whole two hours looking for the exact stud that Kon wears only to play it off as a coincidence. This boy is pining HARD.

He developed a subtle ear cuff for undercover operations that functions as an earpiece in case he needs backup.

Damian

Has a tongue piercing. And you can't tell me that this little gremlin doesn't take every opportunity to show it off when he is taunting someone.

Despite his many protests of: You needn't worry father I am much more competent than that idiot Drake, no criminal can lay a hand on me. Bruce makes him take it out before going on patrol.

Because of his overall lack of executive function he exists off of cereal, frozen meals, and pure adrenaline.

Sometimes he tries to be a little creative in the kitchen but his impatience, and lack of attention span, often leads to disaster.

He likes a particular taco truck in Bludhaven, he has formed such a close relationship with the vendors that he has been invited to at least three quinceaneras in the last year.

Occasionally, he will run into Jason at the same taco truck and they'll have a rare meal together when Jason is up for it. These encounters usually consist of Dick yapping at Jason the entire time.

Dick CANNOT sit still. He needs to be in motion constantly, which has resulted in him shaking his leg every time he sits down and his preference for standing when taking public transport-- which he has to take A LOT because he frequently loses his keys-- but he doesn't mind because he loves chatting with strangers.

Because of his key-losing-habit he often has to enter his apartment or safehouses through the window.

He wears a wallet chain-- not for safety reasons, he is Nightwing after all-- but so he doesn't misplace that too.

He never spends money on himself but is generous with others even despite his lowball BPD salary.

His apartment would be completely empty, the way he grew up traveling with the circus often meant only having necessities, if not for the fact that he is extremely sentimental.

He keeps photos of all his friends on the walls and proudly shelves the gifts and mementos he has received over the years.

One of his favorite possessions is the first birthday gift he received from Tim, a scrapbook full of photos of Dick with various members of the Titans, Batman and Robin, as well as the two of them together.

Dick doesn't often spend much time at his apartment because he tends to feel lonely when he is by himself.

He tends to wear the same things repeatedly so his clothing is both slightly outdated and well-loved.

I imagine he probably still wears skinny jeans because he doesn't see much point in updating his wardrobe and he also prefers tighter clothing. Said skinny jeans would have many holes and patches in them from over the years due to both drunken and sober gymnast shenanigans.

He still wears the same converse that he wore back in his Teen Titan days (post growth spurt) because they are signed by all of the TT members in sharpie.

He wears friendship bracelets that he has received from friends, Raves, and concerts.
