Halfway through the challenge - thanks to all those following along these weird days that are the life of a new grad! Today I was sleepy but the day was good. I did some project work and honestly I felt quite uncertain about what I was doing but I gave it a shot, you only learn by trying! Plus lovely chats with colleagues and samosas for lunch. In the evening my friend and I went for food and then to see the phantom of the opera, which left me with a mixed review: epic music and sound effects, but the ending is such a let down and feels super rushed imo. But still a great time!

This is one part of The Duke Humfrey's Library which was added by Sir Thomas Bodley (who the Bodleian is now named after) who offered to restore it in 1598. When he was attending Oxford University, the library did not even have a ceiling as it had been stripped and abandoned during the Reformation.
