good evening, assuming you're reading this for the first time, welcome to my word review blog!

i take words from the Marriam Webster dictionary from whatever word the word of the day is and just review that word.

and by "review" i just mean semi-rapidly write down my thoughts on the word with accompanying image pertaining to that word

my main goal is to get popular by chance, on the website where that's not an option.

word of the day: Bombast

this word means what it says on the image.

there's not much i can say about it. it isn't used commonly, people probably couldn't figure it out from reading it for the first time, although you probably could if you can infer enough things.

final thoughts, not much interesting words, even today.

hi, ho, it's been a while hasn't it? from my definitely planned Christmas break, i totally didn't forget to do one on Christmas and commit to it.

anyways, people don't really know how to describe this word, the word doesn't really have any meaning by itself anyways.

it's cromble evelyn.

not that the word has anything to do with this.

anyways, the word means to have twists, generally.

the word is commonly confused with torturous, (which is the past tense of torture,) probably because of how the word ends.

final thoughts, with how commonly it's confused and the obscurity of the word, it's pretty uncommonly used, it's also easily replaceable by it's definition.

word of the day: Speculate

okay, so first off, normally, i would just pull up the first image that comes up on google images. But, the firs one that came up is this one:

so you can see why i didn't choose this one. the first image that you saw was the fourth one.

oh shoot, I'm gonna attract speculative people.

it's pretty common. the word means to try to guess the future.

it's not unlikely that you might just pick it up from just hearing it in sentences. it isn't that replaceable with it's definition, in fact, if you replaced it with it's definition you would sound condescending.

final thoughts, after a streak of unnecessary words, this blog finally has a good one, i suspect it will be a bit before the next good one.

alright, this word is interesting.

this word generally means dangerous or harmful in subtle ways. so think ignorance, pesticides, stuff like that.

the word is very intense, fitting for the definition. although it also sounds like 'delirious', so there's that.

not much else i can say about this word.

final thoughts, people need to know about this word, it's important for people to know what it means, and it's not really that big of a word to understand.

alright, it's 7:06 where i am, and there's not much i can say about this one, so this is another fast one.

this word means (as the image above states,) a piece of clothing generally, seems unnecessary, you can just say the definition and people would know what you're talking about compared to this, that's not uncommon but even more so here.

the word means to declare untrue.

seems a bit unnecessary, due to most people saying the definition instead. most people also don't know it, so people might get confused.

i made a little dreidel! i made it out of clay! i... uh...

...wait, how does the rest of the rhyme go? I'm not Jewish.

you know what? not important. with hannukah arriving, it's appropriate that this is the word of the day. or at least, i think it's hannukah, i don't know.

anyways, this word is cute! that's a first for this blog. another first is the dangerous water I'm treading. but anyways, the word has an illustration of one:

pretty old styled, if you're asking me. the illustration, not the toy itself.

the toy itself is actually used in a game:

the players bet a certain amount of currency, they spin the dreidel, and depending on what symbol is landed on, the following happens:

nun: nothing happens.

gimel: the player gets everything.

he, or hey: the player gets half.

shin, or more commonly, pe: the player adds to the pot.

if you don't know which one is which, either refer to the top image, or simply search it up.

it's usually played during hannukah, though i don't think it matters, just that it's a holiday thing, so keep that in mind. the characters together stand for 'Nes gadol haya sham' ("A great miracle happened there", i think.) or 'Nes gadol haya po' ("A great miracle happened here", i think.), i think.

final thoughts, the word is pretty widespread and simple to understand once explained.

this word is different from usual.

this word as the image above suggests, it means inevitability. i think, i don't know.

this word isn't really necessary, considering it's meaning and how rare it is, it's more likely that you would just say inevitable.

alright, i know fully dang well that this image is from skyrim, it's just that i didn't have any good ones, I'm serious, here's a screencap:

all of the images were of the movie, now for the future, there's a neat feature on google were if you search something up but have a word with a minus in front of it (ex, "dogs -cats"), the results remove that thing.

most of the time.

this is one of those times, BUT:

now it just shows me images of the game, and random other things. so just remove game and:

"oh, come on!" -me, trying to get the image. + me realizing that I'll have to put skyrim in the tags.

anyways, I'm getting sidetracked. the word is definitely fitting for skyrim.

i have never played skyrim, i should mention.

the word means...to be forgotten, oh, oh shoot, i thought that it meant to be permanently be destroyed...although that is very similar, so i guess it's fine.

the word comes up in existential drivel from time to time, with it being any particular person's destiny, so you might of heard of it. and also the whole skyrim thing.

(I'm mentioning skyrim a lot, and probably won't stop.) (oh no, what if this becomes a running gag.)

(alright, don't worry about it, it's not a big deal, me.)

anyways, anyways, uh, what was i talking about? uh, (talking points, talking points...) ...the, uh, word is...uh...frequently used! the word can probably be understood by someone who hasn't heard it before, but as seen above, it could be misunderstood.

this word's image on the Merriam Webster word of the day block is of fucking Santa, and that's either a Christmas thing or it's a representation.

anyway, as the image says it means that we assume something has existed or exists. man, i wonder why this is so close to Christmas.

this word is, well, usable, but not in any way that makes sense. it's easier to say that something either doesn't exist or just to ignore that fact.

this word is... interesting.

the word means either having a wavy surface or to move in waves, it tends to undulate between the- wait OH, OH HO HO.

sorry, couldn't resist.

anyways, this word is great! the way you pronounce the word is bouncy, fitting for what the word means. it sounds goofy enough that you can use it in casual conversation, while not sounding too goofy that it's usable if you want to be fanciful about it.

it's also really fun to say, (un ^ du v la ^ te -!) making it more likable.

final thoughts, this is this blog's first word that i love, so keep that in mind for the future.

"alright, I'm starting to have a headache, i hope i get a good word- oh come on."

alright, so, this word means more than what's described in the image above, it's used like that, but it means more. it...ugh, headache is not making this easier. it means having trust in someone, i guess, not as like, a romantic thing, just, trust.

the word is way to fanciful for what it is, but with the definition- fuck, I'm gonna go get some water.

alright, I'm back, anyways, with the definition i provided, it can essentially mean trust, and that word doesn't fit most situations, so i guess you can use this word instead.

final thoughts, an overly fancy word vs an overly romantic one. i can see which one is used, then again, i'm probably gonna click on the tag and see thousands of teen posts of movie characters which they vaguely find cute.

alright, i couldn't find a better image for this because so many Mexican businesses use it as a word in their title, also i feel like i should mention that the word when i typed it into the top, it didn't register as a word.

that probably meant nothing, maybe it was the most offensive thing in the universe, maybe it was a normal thing to say, i don't speak Spanish. or any language aside from English.

this word generally means buddy, a friend, or other similar people. at least, in English.

in Spanish it means 'godfather', i think, i don't know, I'm not going to retain that last bit of info.

not much i can say about the word, it only gives off a vibe of someone being Very friendly towards someone. it sounds generally friendly enough for people to guess what it means, and it's pretty prevalent in pop culture for people to know about it.

final thoughts, this is more intro that review, that's how much i can say about the word, i should be able to say more, but it's not that big a deal.
