Pallet Christmas Decor
Christmas is just around the corner and I wanted to create some of my own Christmas Decorations. Well naturally, I am not going to spend on something that I can make myself with things from my scrap wood bin. So, before crack opening a cold one with the boys, I planned to create some pallet stars, pallet houses and a pallet Christmas Tree.

DIY Cardboard Tank - V2
After a huge success of my DIY Tank V1, I am here again with the V2 of my DIY Tanks. In this quick tutorial, I am going to make a DIY Tank using cardboard sheets. It will only take 20 minutes of your valuable time to create this DIY Masterpiece. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKCBB7hs0EU
DIY Cardboard Tank
------------------
The history of the tank begins with World War I. Armored all-terrain fighting vehicles were introduced to combat the trench warfare, ushering in a new era of mechanized warfare. By World War II, tank design advanced significantly.
Though initially raw and unreliable, tanks eventually became a mainstay of the ground armies.

Trying to explain dialup to a pre-teen will evoke the same wild-eyed bewilderment as “a dinosaur was as-big-as this house”. We can’t go off what our parents did because two tin cans connected by a string isn’t really the same these days and probably it would look like a piece of junk for the new and upcoming generations.
However, the truth is "life is busy" and hence we don’t spend enough time with our children. Children need high-quality time with parents and caregivers - the QUALITY of time spent with them is much more important than the QUANTITY of time.
Christmas was the perfect time to explore and setup this bonding. With a bit of help from my little monster and by using The Most Complete Starter Kit from ELEGOO I created this small Christmas Village for my little monster.

DIY - Desk Planter
This lockdown, gave me an once in a lifetime opportunity to convert some of my pallets to amazing DIY projects. We all are doing our best to keep a positive attitude while in this lockdown situation and hope that by staying at home we can help others. Our thoughts and prayers are continually with all those who are suffering. Please stay safe and stay well, and most preferably stay at home!
PCF8574 GPIO Extender - With Arduino and NodeMCU
In my last tutorial, I talked about the TCA9548A MUX which can be used to add at the max of 64 I2C or I²C sensors to your Arduino/ESP8266/ESP32.In this tutorial, I am going to talk about the PCF8574 8-bit GPIO Port Extender. It is one of the many GPIO extenders available in the market. This tiny little board becomes a life saver When you run out of pins on your Arduino. This "GPIO (General Purpose Input Output) pin extender" provides an additional 8 pins (P0 ~ P7) which can be used to 'output a signal' or 'read a signal as an input'.These modules run on the I2C bus, and if daisy-chained you can connect upto 8 of these devices in a project. Each device will give us an additional 8-bits of GPIO enabling 64 GPIOs in total. These ICs are ridiculously cheap and can be bought easily from eBay or AliExpress. If you don't want to worry about the wiring and just want to keep your project really "simple", then you can buy these fully assembled breakout boards. You just need to hook them up to the I2C bus and you are all ready to go.

DIY - Pendulum Clock A pendulum clock is a clock that uses a pendulum, a swinging weight, as its timekeeping element. The advantage of a pendulum for timekeeping is that it is a harmonic oscillator: it swings back and forth in a precise time interval dependent on its length, and resists swinging at other rates. From its invention in 1656 by Christiaan Huygens until the 1930s, the pendulum clock was the world's most precise timekeeper, accounting for its widespread use.
