finally finished my planter box for an art project
german windows ✨
mini garden!
sO i got this planter box a while and i’m super excited about it! as you can see i’ve got plants in it - they’ve been doing way better than i expected. i’ll go through them :D
here’s the whole box! yes, unfortunately it’s quite crowded, but what can i say - there were a lot of things i wanted to grow :)
we have green butter lettuce at the back left, and red butter lettuce at the front left. directly to the right of the green butter lettuce is basil! it’s a special kind but i can’t remember the name right now, hehe :’) to the right of that is sage, at the back right corner is dill. the front right corner is cilantro - it’s really good, we’ve used it a lot already :D and the two plants between cilantro and red butter lettuce are strawberries!
i’ll do more a in-depth tour later :)
My own sprouts and some pre-sprouted veggies I bought and planted that are thriving! This is my first time gardening so I'm very excited with how it's going.

Caladium, Red Banana and Elephant Ear Planter
It was chilly and threatening rain this morning. I did some housework which mainly involved wrangling the washing so it would get dry between showers. Anywho
I called in at Daughters during my run to see how the planter box was coming along. She had been finishing it off with her Dad while I was running. She was pretty happy with the end result. One trailer load of dirt required and some plants.
It looks like a garden full of trash, but these bottles serve a purpose. The plastic bottles in the back act as individual greenhouses over baby plants until they're strong enough to withstand the midday sun. The beer bottles in the peach tree pot supplement the irrigation system by slow releasing water over time. Reuse, and eventually recycle.
