what are your muse’s current goals and motivations? (141 words)
debut, debut debut. it’s the thing right on his mind. participating in the trainee evaluation is definitely the main thing driving him to keep going. it’s a welcome silver of hope that maybe, just maybe, he’s closer to debut than he was a year ago. his friends are definitely helping too! he has connections with a fair amount of the other trainees in the evaluation group and that has surely been making practice much more fun than it usually would be.
while performing is top on his priorities, he still has producing in the back of his mind. he loves song writing and production and really hopes that he could write for his group/solo releases/other groups even, in the future. but that’s not his priorities. he knows there are traditional steps to this process and he is willing to be patient.
do you think your muse has accomplished any of their goals mentioned above? if so, how did they do it? if not, what do you think could help them accomplish that goal? (215 words)
he’s taking the steps necessary. he’s working hard and doing his best everyday to show that he’s committed and ready to do more public appearances. committing to and sticking through with the trainee evaluation has definitely been in the right direction. after the years he’d spent at the company and being passed over, i think he really needed to get chosen for something. it was hard for him to not feel discouraged when he felt he was being overlooked. but during the evaluation, he (rather than try to expand his skills) put his best foot forward and focused on what he does best: dance and rap! it’s still his goal to debut as a dancer/rapper in a group, so he wanted to show coaches he is committed to that. but a sub-vocal position wouldn’t hurt either.
producing is on the backburner. he hasn’t gone out of his way to practice that, since he wants to make sure he can perform music well enough to even make it into a group. but he still writes in the little spare time he has, still wants to write in the future. i think if he would set aside time for himself to write and flex that muscle, it would really help him feel more confident in that area.
describe one significant memory that has happened to your muse during this trimester (positive or negative). (127 words)
woobin had his first family concert! this was honestly super exciting for him because 1) it’s his first and who ever forgets their first and 2) he was in a special group! with a bunch of his friends!!! he saw haru practice!!!! he spent months practicing and to have it all culminate into such a big event with so many fans and senior artists watching him perform—just icing on the cake. at the beginning of the trimester he was feeling really down about new groups debutting and him not being chosen. but being chosen to perform separate from the rest of the trainees really helped build his confidence. and he’s got a new appreciation for sexy concepts...that stuff is way harder to pass off than it looks.
what is one thing you (as the mun) have learned about your muse throughout this trimester? (116 words)
one thing i was not expecting from woobin was that he could be leader material. he’s on the energetic and almost childish side, so it’s easy to forget he’s one of the older trainees and has senior level experience. he knows what he’s doing and, most of all, he’s eager to help the people around him. when he does group performances he wants everyone to look strong, since that just feeds into the whole group looking strong. plus, he’s pretty engaging and tries to make sure everyone feels comfortable around him. he would enjoy having more opportunities to test out leadership and i think it could be a good way for him to mature a little.
