Palestine Red Crescent opens new field hospital in northern Gaza to serve nearly 500,000 people

The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) inaugurated a new field hospital in northern Gaza on Monday to provide medical care for approximately 500,000 residents, as reported by Anadolu Agency.

The launch aims to address the severe healthcare vacuum caused by the destruction of the enclave's medical infrastructure during the height of the Israeli genocide and ongoing Israeli attacks that have disrupted any attempts to rebuild.

According to statements published by Wafa News Agency, PRCS President Yunis al-Khatib noted that the installation marks the organization's sixth field hospital in Gaza, established despite immense logistical challenges and restrictions.

During the inauguration the society confirmed that 57 ambulances and large shipments of medical supplies remain prepared for immediate entry into the enclave once Israel's restrictions and blockade of such materials ends.
