you have to consciously unlearn racism and continue to watch for it because it will come out without realizing. because so much of society is structured around it. shrugging and going "i dont care" or "i dont know how else to say it" means you are okay with being racist and hurting other people with how much you dont give a shit about them.

After we lost @transfaguette, someone who was always in my notes with interesting insights and funny little quips, I started to feel beaten down. Then my local community lost Murry Foust and it seems like only the trans men and mascs care. I don’t want to go to Pride this year. I don’t know if I can watch a joyful parade with rainbow glitter and drag queens this year. Sometimes it truly feels like trans men are still left to die in silence just like we have for centuries
