Have a snippet from what I call Dog Park AU, my blatantly self-indulgent emmcanis fic:

They got Spite settled on the floor and Emmrich noticed Lucanis stifling a yawn. He remembered their conversation of the other night and wondered if the man had been getting any sleep. "Would you like a cup of coffee?" he asked. "It would only take a moment to prepare. I'd like some myself, come to think of it. It's been quite a long day." "Coffee would be welcome," Lucanis said with a tired smile. Emmrich thought he might have stared just a little too long at that smile. Lucanis had a mouth made for it — the curve of his lower lip was divine — but he didn't look like a man who actually smiled very often. "Go ahead and have a seat. I won't be a moment," he said and headed back to the staff room to brew a pot. When he returned, he found Lucanis looking at something on his phone. He quickly tucked it away in a breast pocket and accepted the mug Emmrich offered with a little nod of thanks. Emmrich sat in the chair beside him and leaned back, stretching his long legs out in front of him. "You know, I've been meaning to invite you to coffee for weeks. I suppose in a peculiar way, I've finally managed it."

I really liked the b/w version too, so that's below the cut.

This started as an experiment in using only white at varying levels of opacity on a black background, using only the eraser and blender for shading. If the painting is shown on a white background it entirely disappears.

I'd show a screen shot of that but it would be really boring 🤣
