Werewolves that never fully change back, leaving them with teeth that can’t fit into their human mouth, or deformed feet that were perfect for a four legged beast, but can’t support them on two legs.

Bitten werewolves that aren’t as wolfish as their friends who were born that way, with eyes that are far too human and too long paws. When they howl, it sounds like a scream.

Born werewolves that wait all their life for their transformation, only to turn into a wolf and run off into the woods, never regaining their human shape.

A transformation that goes too slow, living a writhing mass on bone and muscle on the ground, slowly dying as their lungs and blood and heart are stuck between two very different things for far too long.

Or one that goes too fast, so fast that the bones and muscles and organs have no time to properly recover. The werewolf finishes their transformation bloodied and bruised, unable to stand on limbs that are still fractured.
