“i’ve never seen sex and the city. or, perhaps more seasonal, love actually. nor the notebook, notting hill, anything, say, post 1991 that falls into the thematic genre romantic comedy.” comedies aren’t his thing. nor is romance. he’ll take a true crime story or psychological thriller over stunted chemistry and canned laughter any day. “dificult to find an evening in which to marathon cinema when i’m rooted to a river for eight hours each nightfall. but go off, i suppose…” and the words sound foreign on his lips, exposing, like a mother using language as an attempt to connect with a withdrawing teenage son.

the first time calvin had met ambrose, he damned near caught a heart attack. calvin had encountered enough different species in faulk hollow, so he wasn’t surprised when he found out the man was a ghost, he just hadn’t expected run into him when he had. 

         her  father  had  always  scolded  imogene  over  reckless  spending   —  which,  by  his  definition,  meant  anything  that  related  to  fun.  however,  he’s  not  here  &  she  has  the  cash  to  spare.  “  bid  five  hundred,  ”  she  enthuses,  smiling  though  her  eyes  exude  sincerity.  “  i  mean  it,  five  hundred.  i’ve  got  it  covered  —-  like  you  said,  can’t  pass  the  opportunity,  right  ?  ”

“i don’t get why you even went that high.” will would never understand the sort of people who couldn’t just go to the store and buy a walkman for fifty bucks. or else just keep their music on their phone. “that thing looks older than i am.”

well, before i moved here... oh gosh this is going to be the silliest answer possible but .. kim possible and ron stoppable, minus the whole falling in love thing. other than that, we were inseparable? we went to school together. she didn’t really fight crime but it almost felt that way? she made sure everyone in school was all right. headed this feminist club at the high school. i miss her ... a lot.

🌸 - what’s the most memorable dream you’ve had?

oh … um .. it was about my parents. they were surprising me with a car for my sixteenth birthday.  funny thing, that has never happened? not the dream, i mean it never happened in real life. but it’s something that usually always happens on someone’s sixteenth birthday, you know? it was so vivid. i could practically smell the strawberry shampoo my mom’s always using. i could feel, hear and touch and taste .. everything. it was a good dream.
