Since yesterday was the word 歪 (ibitsu) let's go for something from a song called 歪.

Word and meaning: 浸かる (tsukaru) means 'to be submerged', 'to be immersed in (a condition)'

Lyric: ハロー、絶望に慣れてどっぷり浸かってるんだろう (Hello, zetsubou ni narete doppuri tsukatterundarou) 'Hello, I suppose you are used to desperation and are completely immersed in it'

Song: 歪 (ibitsu) by コドモドラゴン (Codomo dragon)

Back with another word - 歪 (ibitsu)

Meaning: 歪 (ibitsu) means 'distorted', 'warped', since the character is not in the jouyou kanji (the most commonly used 2136 kanji, won't have furigana that indicates the correct pronunciation) it is often written using hiragana, like this いびつ

Lyric: 歪な形をした心が大切なものを傷つける (ibitsu na katachi wo shita kokoro ga taisetsu na mono wo kizutsukeru) 'a warped heart hurts what it holds dear'

Song: 天上の果実 (tenjou no kajitsu) by 201号室 (201 goushitsu)

Today's word is 鶴 (tsuru).

Meaning: 鶴 (tsuru) means 'crane' (the bird), this song says specifically 千羽の鶴 (senba no tsuru, more often 千羽鶴 senbadzuru), which alludes to the thousand paper cranes one would fold to fulfil a wish of good health

Lyric: 揺らめく千羽の鶴と戻れない春の日 (yurameku senba no tsuru to modorenai haru no hi) 'thousand swaying paper cranes and a spring that that cannot return'

Vocab note: a numerative is used here, 羽 (usually wa, sometimes ba or pa) is a counter for birds and rabbits, read as hane it means 'wings'. And why are rabbits counted as birds? Well, so Buddhist monks could eat them (at least that is how most people explain it).

Hello, hello! Since the consensus is murder vocab yes, I shall provide. This time let's look at four words with the same kanji 殺す (korosu).

Meaning: 殺す (korosu) means 'to kill'

Words: kanji compounds are amazing, because you can usually guess what they mean together, if you know them separately. Let's have a look at this line from a Sick² song:

銃殺 (juusatsu) arms + kill -> death by being shot

毒殺 (dokusatsu) poison + kill -> death by poisoning

絞殺 (kousatsu) strangle + kill -> death by strangling

撲殺 (bokusatsu) slap/strike + kill -> death by beating

Lyric: 銃殺 毒殺 絞殺 撲殺 (juusatsu, dokusatsu, kousatsu, bokusatsu) 'shoot, poison, strangle, beat to death'

Song: 妄想悪魔審判 (mousou akuma shinpan) by Sick²

Today's word is from the newest 蛾と蝶 single (anyone recognizes the first kanji? Their name means 'moth and butterfly' or ga to chou in Japanese).

Word and meaning: 息詰まる (ikidzumaru) means 'to be stifling' or also 'to be breathtaking', but for the context of today's song, let's go with the first one

Lyric: 冷たく息詰まる暗い底 (tsumetaku ikidzumaru kurai soko) 'cold stifling dark bottom'

Song: 奈落ノ翅 (naraku no hane) by 蛾と蝶 (ga to chou)

Side note: 奈落 (naraku) means hell, or the very bottom and 翅 means (insect) wings, so the song title translates to the (insect) wings of hell

Meaning: 裏切る (uragiru) means to betray someone, literally written as 'to cut from the back', so backstabbing, if you will

Lyric: 裏切る友達？(Uragiru tomodachi?) 'a friend who betrays?'

Fun fact: the name of this song means Werewolf game, which is an actual game (also called Mafia in English?), where two teams - werewolves and humans - compete to either blend in successfully or find out who the wervolves are

I apologize for the sudden disappearance, but I'm back with a new word. Today's word is ごっこ (gokko)

Meaning: ごっこ (gokko) is a suffix that means playing at (suffixed word), game of make-believe

Lyric: トモダチごっこは始めましょう (tomodachi gokko wa hajimemashou) 'let's start the pretense of being friends'

Translation note: can it also be 'let's start playing at being friends'? That's more of an English language question

Word and meaning: 覆い隠す (ooikakusu), to hide, to cover

Lyric: 消えない傷を覆い隠してしまうように (kienai kizu wo ooikakushite shimau you ni) 'As if I'm trying to cover wounds that never fade'

Meaning: 旅立ち (tabidachi) is a noun that means 'setting off (on a trip)', departure, it can be made into a verb by attaching する (suru) to it

Lyric: 長すぎた夜に 旅立ちを夢見た (nagasugita yoru ni tabidachi wo yumemita) 'on a night that was too long I dreamed about setting off'

Today's word is 非現実的 (higenjitsuteki)

Meaning: 非現実的 (higenjitsuteki) means unrealistic, infeasible (to break it down a little, the kanji mean 'negation-reality-makes an adjective from a noun')
