there won't be a preface just hear me out
does anyone else think the inner circle design is booooring? they literally don't have any major differences from each other other than their color type which for me personally is SUCH a loss because this setting is ideal for interesting designs and concepts and in acotar it's just sexy man #1 sexy man #2 purple eyes version sexy man #3 long hair version
with girls everything is a little better but like. it's still sexy girl #1 and sexy girl #2 and sexy girl #3 but shorter
BORING
I've been running circles around the Hewn City drama for months now.
Most of all thoughts about the legion...
Like, they are prohibited underground and they are generally not as cool as Tolkien’s dwarves.
Like, there was an evil queen hanging out in their home.
Like, they are all generally considered the last bastards.
Like, they are controlled by the last bastard.
And instead of deciding anything, the brilliant Highlord and his people simply allow Keir to do whatever he wants, because he controls them. They are literally sold for services, and they die in war.
They are rightfully the elite, the fighting unit of the Court, and they are treated like dirt.
And then together with any glory? respect? receive a vile attitude and a ban on appearing in precious Velaris.
I'm going crazy around the Darkbringers.
Apparently Dagon was another daemati too? Idk who that is but some Rhys Stan said that on tik tok
Hi, anon! I don't know who Dagon is, honestly. I am not English-speaking and in my translation this character probably has a different name or was simply missed, if it exists at all.
Of the official daemati, we have Rhysand, Feyre, the King's nephews, and the "unnamed Amarantha daemati". But you know what seems strange to me? The fact that these thoughts are generally nowhere, except for Rizand's excuses, are not found. They were created only for Rizand to say "It's not me."
Besides, what tyrannical sadist as Amarantha was wouldn't force a man who was suspiciously keen on saving Kallias' life to kill someone else instead of Kallias? Besides, why did Rhysand squeeze out the brains through the ears of that guy from the court of summer, and not another daemati? Why was Rhysand not revealed at all if people who could get into the heads of others were running around? This is so strange that I will believe in Rhysand's innocence only if some book is published with an explanation for all Rhysand's deeds, and in the third person.
By the way, I went through all the sources that I could find, and did not find Dagon anywhere... It seems that this is still someone's headcanon.
The first chapter of my new fanfiction is already published on ao3!

And no one ever wondered why Amarantha had any additional daematias, besides Rhysand, well, the ones that killed the children from the court of winter?
Like, the ability is very, very rare, but here Amarantha turned out to have several? Daemati, in fact, can avoid any coercion in their direction, and then suddenly those who are capable of holding extremely high positions decided to serve a psychopath of dubious authority and with sadistic inclinations. I still think what a murky story these kids have.
Like, all the torture with the destruction of the mind that they showed us was always done by Rhysand. And then all of a sudden it's not? Why? If he tried to dissuade her from killing Kallias, then quite in the spirit of Amarntha, do something like this: "Oh, not Kallias, then? Okay, in that case, you go and kill the children of the court of winter" So why not?
I look at ALL ladybloodshed fanfics with such loving eyes, this is.... this is art.
I've seen many, many posts about who Feyre Archeron is for, so...
Nesta Archeron is for older daughters who are expected to save the world with a break to do the dishes.
Nesta Archeron is for older daughters who are expected not to shed a tear when they are scolded for mistakes as for a lost war.
Nesta Archeron is for older daughters from whom they expect beauty and grace, so they consider it necessary to notice every speck on the skin and every extra gram.
Nesta Archeron is for those who in childhood were an outstanding, gifted child, and then stopped bringing diplomas home and somehow became unnecessary.
Nesta Archeron is for those who dared to break out of the shackles of expectations and resist returning to them.
Eldest daughters rb this and tag with where your parents stand birth order wise amongst their own siblings
They are both the youngest in the family, everything is clear.
every eldest daughter deserves to be evil
honestly this should be the most popular post on tumblr but younger siblings won't reblog this
reblogging because younger siblings won't

Here is a full summary of the ACOTAR subreddit in its entirety, so you don’t have to waste precious brain cells and moments wading through the bullshit just to find one lonely soul who might share your opinion on the books:
Us: I think Tamlin/Nesta aren’t as bad as most people think and they deserve good things in life.
Them: NO THEY HURT FEYRE AND WERE MEAN TO HER.
Us: But Feyre has kind of acted the same way to other people and hurt people the same way she’s been hurt. Isn’t that hypocritical?
Them: NO
Us: Why?
Them: BeCaUsE
Us: Why? In a real world situation it would be and behavior like that would not be tolerated.
Them: iT’s A bOoK
Us: Right, but words have power and can influence impressionable/immature readers in a significant way.
Them: FEYRE IS A KWEEN AND SHE DOESNT DESERVE THIS TREATMENT.
Us: So you would be okay if someone who supposedly loved you made you dance naked in front of strangers just because he wanted to piss off someone else?
Them: HiS iNtEnTiOnS wErE GoOoOoD. ALSO HE IS HOT.
Us: But Tamlin thought he was doing the right thing too by protecting Feyre?
Them: HE IS BLONDE
Us: …
Them: ALSO RHYS IS MoRaLlY gReY
Us: So then by that logic Tamlin is too?
Them: NO
Us: …Why?
Them: BECAUSE SJM SAID SO SO ITS CaNoN.
Us: Ok fine but I’m just saying this is one way the text can be interpreted.
Them: CaNoN!
Us: So Tamlin losing his temper because of misdirected fears is worse than Rhys sexually assaulting Feyre, denigrating her, subjecting her unwillingly to public humiliation, drugging her and taking away her ability to consent, not to mention mentally manipulating her and subjecting her to unnecessary physical harm?
Them: YeS. MoRaLlY gReY, member?
Us: But Tamlin never willfully physically harmed her.
Them: HIS TEMPER MAKES HIM ABUSIVE.
Us: Okay, so if he’s still abusive how come he’s so well regarded by his court? How come you never see him hurting members of his court or, say, murdering people just cause Amarantha says so?
Them: Because.
She’s obviously not a prisoner guys 😒. She just can’t winnow, can’t fly, and no one will help her leave. BUT she can take the stairs! :) so that’s good.
Okay yeah so the whole scene where Nesta Cassian and Eris are in the Spring Court is fucking WILD for a lot of reasons and is primarily the reason why I'm convinced that Tamlin is the only person in the series who reacts normally to anything. LIKE - these three choose to have their weird little espionage discourse in the Spring Court for NO REASON, and then get shocked and horrified and disgusted when Tamlin, the High Lord of Spring, shows up and goes, "Hey guys what the actual fuck are you doing here!?" Maybe don't have your club meetings in his backyard next time!?!?
There's the egregious retconning as well where Nesta remembers events that never happened - like the way I know that Tamlin never offered to take Nesta in Feyre's place is because the scene in question takes place in chapter fucking 3 of book one, and I had it open next to me when I was e-reading!
It's also weirdly out of character for Nesta who somehow gets like, deeply personally offended by Tamlin in the most convoluted way. Like I GUESS we can say that this scene acts as a catalyst for when she eventually goes to drop the Pegnancy Bombshell om Feyre because Nesta is deeply offended by the idea of a man taking away a woman's autonomy - except Rhysand is immediately absolved for removing Feyre's autonomy where Tamlin is being vilified for shit that never fucking happened in the text!?!?
This is a goddamn clown show.
I beg you, Tamlin vibe is the person who has one answer to a variety of situations, "Somehow fuck it." Seriously, he will soon have a meeting of the High Lords under the apple trees, and he is like, "Well, don't trample the lawns."
Eris when Rhysand offered him Nesta's Made weapon: "I'd rather have her [Nesta] than that."
Cassian to Nesta when Nesta bruised his ego by insulting Rhysand: laughs at her falling down the stairs and says "Everybody hates you"
Guess who Nesta ended up with😊😊😡😡
Eris literally prefers communication with Nesta over MADE WEAPON WHICH IS EXTREMELY POWERFUL IN ITSELF I love this man
I just don't understand how Nesta, Elain and their dad could let Feyre be illiterate.
Especially Nesta who LOVES to read and find comfort in that? What level of neglect and egoism is that-
listen, neglect on Nestas part insinuates Nesta is a caretaker for Feyre. She is not, she is her sister. the ONLY one in the book that deserves that title is their father, the actual parent in the book. Nesta is only a few years older than her in the first place and is still a child just like Feyre. She also didn't know Feyre couldn't read, which makes sense considering what her mother was having Nesta doing while SHE was also neglecting Feyre
How are you going to blame Nesta for not teaching Feyre to read when 1.) That's the parent's job and 2.) Feyre literally lied and told Nesta and Elain she could read

I really want to shove my OC into the acotar series so that she brazenly shows up at Tamlin's house, gives him tea and speaks exclusively in Tatar proverbs. Imagine: Aigul: /makes tea/
Tamlin: /looks interested/
Aigul: /adds milk to tea/
Tamlin: /doesn’t understand why Aigul said that this tea would surprise him/
Aigul: /salts tea/
Tamlin: Stop, why....
Aigul: /calmly adds butter to tea/
Tamlin: WOMAN, STOP!
Aigul smiles slyly.
This man went to the army with a sword and a knife and managed not to die and then you ask why the fandom loves him.
