bradley hold up the piece of paper that is now flipped over. it's blank, even on the back side. he waves it in knox's face. " no, but i'm starting to think that you did. " this can't be the information he was promised. andie said she had a good lead.
“ blimey….. ” it’s not often she’s at a loss for words. brown eyes wide with curiosity, scaramouche takes a small step forward. “ how in the iplanet did you do that? ”
trip's all smug grins. he's missed the feeling of a warp capable engine under his feet. in just a blink, all the stars and the cosmos becomes colorful streaks till they find themselves elsewhere, another quadrant. okay, maybe he's showing off. " ah jus' good ol' fashioned engineerin' " he's definitely showing off. " now here comes the real questi'n. which uh, iplanet, d'you wanna see first? " he's never heard of the i-class of planets, but he'll take her recommendation on it.
"I'm sure you do." It's sarcastic but not disbelieving; Nat doesn't suffer fools, she holds the people she trusts to high standards. It's why Bob is among the few Nat trusts, both in confiding information and searching out her own.
"Are either of those things interesting," she tosses back. Her relationship with Bradley might be hard to define, but it isn't anything new and exciting.
As for Mr. Alnmouth, his affairs aren't as discrete as he'd like them to be. "Is this the blonde or the brunette? He sours on these girls so quickly. It's hard to keep up."
“ you two? very, ” if nat doesn’t see it that way, then so be it, but bob has watched bradley’s return to investigating closely. how any man comes back from what bradley has been through is beyond him, and yet the detective is somehow managing. nat spending any time with him is proof that he’s managing maybe even better than bob knows. if nothing else, bob’s business is everybody else’s business, hers included — though bob respects her plenty to not pry.
“ which one is ms. harrington? she has a nasally voice and says oh heavens every other sentence. is she the brunette? ” count on him to know a voice better than a face, “ this one sounds new, calls from a phone booth. she’s got a low voice, and he only ever calls her sweetie. ”

traditional plotting guides have a list of plot ideas, so consider this a sort of atypical, albeit i hope very helpful, guide to interacting with my muses. this guide provides a brief overview of all the connections muses have to people and places, hopefully sparking some ideas and providing a better insight into how your muse’s life might overlap/intersect with mine. i’ve also included a couple of writing affiliates, exclusives, and npcs for each character to possibly spark other avenues of characters meeting. maybe we share a mutual, or our characters do! my inclusion of romantic partners does not mean that muse is unavailable to shipping -- every romantic ship is set in its own verse, i won't write cheating plots.

WHERE DOES DEBBIE WORK? debbie is a real estate agent, working for a small firm. she has an office, but her work can also be done at home or obviously on the go with showings and signings. WHERE DOES DEBBIE LIVE? she lives in the suburbs of chicago in a typical family home where she has shared her life with nolan, mark, and oliver. though it's a place of a lot of turmoil and hardship, she hasn't really thought to move. WHERE DOES DEBBIE HANG OUT? debbie will join coworkers on a night out be it a dinner, bar outing, or other, but usually she spends time at home. she enjoys time to herself, or family time, though it can feel suffocating. you'll also find her running errands around town including going to markets and artisanal stores in the name of trying to put together the perfect gift basket. WHAT ORGANIZATIONS, COMMUNITIES, AND INSTITUTIONS HAS SHE BEEN AFFILIATED WITH? debbie is well known in her community for being a friendly neighbor, always inviting and welcoming to those who move in. as a real estate agent, she also knows a great number of sellers and buyers and other agents and by extension interior designers, party planners. she's a member of the wine of the month club, and has on more than one occasion failed to host a long standing book club. WRITING AFFILIATES/EXCLUSIVES/NPCS: debbie was married to nolan grayson, who publicly was known to be a travel writer and died in a gas line explosion, privately he was the hero then villain omni-man. she's also the mom of mark grayson, and adoptive mother of oliver grayson. she's fallen for another by day writer, by night hero, clark kent (@supurman). debbie has hired a special child caretaker named april for help with raising oliver.

WHERE DOES LIAM WORK? liam is a proud player of richmond’s new womens team. it’s a crazy opportunity to have to come back to the sport after they quit roughly a year or two before, but they’re excited by the opportunity and richmond will become the place where liam grows from player to leader. they play as a midfielder. WHERE DOES LIAM LIVE? currently liam lives near richmond upon thames in the united kingdom. they’re a long ways from home, having been born and raised in the united states. WHERE DOES LIAM HANG OUT? being an athlete is a pretty time consuming job so if you’re looking to find them, the first place to go will be the richmond club grounds. on the occasions they slip free they’ll be at home or getting to know the area alongside a teammate or two. WHAT ORGANIZATIONS, COMMUNITIES, AND INSTITUTIONS HAVE THEY BEEN AFFILIATED WITH? they have been a part of their middle and high school soccer teams, played for ucla, been a part of the national team at the various junior levels and have had a debut with the team. they attended ucla and finished with a bachelors degree in the sciences. now they play in the women’s super league in the second division for richmond. WRITING AFFILIATES/EXCLUSIVES/NPCS: liam has a younger half brother named emmett jeffries who they’re incredibly fond of. their teammates include greats like andie eliot (@lvebug), alice harmon (@saltwaters), and rowan bower-bedford (@premleague). they’re dating will kitman (mot).

WHERE DOES ZOE WORK? part time high school freshman, part time galactic guardian, zoe dedicates more of her time to the latter, flying and teleporting where she might be needed around earth but also not infrequently jetting off on space based missions for different planets and coalitions of the stars. WHERE DOES ZOE LIVE? zoe was born and raised in upstate new york, but her current boss of operations is in an orbital space station above it. she lives at home but most of her home time is actually spent there, though her parents are insistent that during the school year she spends more time down on earth. with a transporter, she gets between the two in the blink of an eye. WHERE DOES ZOE HANG OUT? where there's trouble, you'll find zoe in the tech jacket suit. she's never been able to sit idly by during conflicts, but at the same time she's your average kid and you'll find her at school, at the corner store next to it, or at the video game store. WHAT ORGANIZATIONS, COMMUNITIES, AND INSTITUTIONS HAS SHE BEEN AFFILIATED WITH? she has been part of many super powered teams such as the coalition of planets, and the global defense agency back on earth, though she does not consider herself as one of their heroes like the teen team or the guardians of the globe. zoe, because of her tech armor, is a protector of geldaria, the origin of her technology. she's also a student at her local high school and part of the video game club, though she usually misses the meetings. WRITING AFFILIATES/EXCLUSIVES/NPCS: ed and annie thompson are zoe’s parents who both support her galactic guardian duties.

questions for the roleplayer . . . 👒 - what's your favorite roleplay memory? / 🧤 - what's your favorite kind of dynamic to write?
i don't know if i have a favorite memory but some of the fondest tend to be the ones that get the most people or are with others. there was an absolute nonsense crack joke thread i jumped in on on @midvales with some mutuals, there's been movie nights for transformers and the martian which were incredibly fun. if it makes me laugh or smile, it's a memory i'm really fond of and in many cases you've probably heard about. i think just because of how much has changed since then, one of my most profound memories has to be when @rcsfield filled out my interest tracker before his blog was even set up, and i thought to myself well who does that you have zero info, but i gave it a couple of hours and then the blog was set up and i completed the mutual because i appreciated the level of detail in the form. some folks don't give you that much to work with, but he did, and...
my favorite dynamic is always the complicated ones with the deep history like hank and buttercup who probably would both sooner go headfirst into war than admit they're best friends, or neal and keller who talk to each other in a way that is so bizarre and they have so much history but neal is always denying it too, or spock and farrah who also talk absurdly with each other but are fundamentally life changing and important to each other, or kara and lex even who have a common person they love but obviously have so much other animosity and history. i like when sometimes people don't get along, or they used to and sometimes that seeps through, or maybe they have always gotten along but there's things in the way of admitting that. i think when a dynamic is so layered and so complicated it makes it so interesting to write

kiss and tell ( prompts ) . . . a kiss while being reunited after a long time — EMILY of @warplanet
the ground under her feet feels hard and solid -- it's a great contrast from that of the floor of the ship. no matter how well built, the ocean around it always made sure to make its presence known. there's no more of it here, just gray old concrete burning where the sun hits it, unshaded by the shadow of a family member or friend that has come to greet all the incoming sailors. the last person to greet the pilot walking across the grounds must have been neve, her step sister. finals are right around the corner and natasha knows that neve won't be anywhere outside her dorm room for the next two weeks, let alone dockside in the state of virginia.
squinting to make out the vague silhouette of the person waiting for her, each step lessens the haze of the sun, closes the distance, until natasha can properly make out the face of emily. she's a sight for sore eyes. maybe it's not the sun behind emily, but emily herself who simply glows standing there. natasha raises her arm, hat in hand, waving towards the other woman to get her attention.
she doesn't let any distance remain, an arm almost instantly curling around emily's waist once she's close enough to do so, a long kiss pressed to her lips. whispering, not wanting to pull away, " you came, " nat's grin is wide, the smallest of hints at her excitement that's otherwise buried under a sense of professionalism and decorum.

metal presses into the tips of his fingers, tender and hurting now from the hours that have been poured into what’s meant to be a labor of curiosity. bob’s glasses have slid down his nose, and behind them is a focused face quickly becoming one of irritation. gone now is the joy of trying to decipher the inner workings of his mom’s typewriter; he told her he’d fix it for her. it’s become a task too complicated to be enjoyable, even for bob, for whom patience dried up about an hour ago. he doesn’t swear, cuss, or discard all the parts in any kind of fit, he simply continues to stew, quieter and more concentrated. if he could see himself well he’d think that he’s starting to look just like —
sherlock presses his lips at what he can of bob’s neck, what’s still smooth and easy to access even in his scrunched up posture. it’s so warm, so unexpected, bob has to blink his way through understanding what’s just happened. he’s not usually the one on the receiving end of such a gesture. heavy comes the sigh as his arms lower the pieces in hand and he finally has one free to push his glasses back up the bridge of his nose and then let it drop and reach around to land on sherlock’s leg. “ hi. "
the lines of frustration smoothen out into exhaustion — how quickly sherlock elicits that effect in him. tilting his head to the side, he opens the invitation for more kisses.
