it’s sad, but it’s true. this blog has been around for four years plus. been through good times, bad times, and weird times. i hope everyone enjoyed yuan, but i’m afraid i’m going to have to close the blog. after reaching 560 followers, i gotta say it’s been a great run. thank you so much for those that stuck around since the beginning and those who just recently came in. i might end up reopening yuan another blog sometime down the road, but not any time soon. usually i’d just delete a blog quietly and be on my way, but i’ve had too many good memories with yuan and i hope others have too. so i’ll keep this blog around for those who want to visit for old time’s sake.

This is so uncomfortable. Why is this happening. Your hands are clammy, Yuan. He can’t even speak because this is so unsolicited and weird. What would he even say? ‘Why are you touching my face?’ That one’s already written all over said object, no need to actually say it aloud. ‘Why do we share so many physical traits? Are we related? The half-elf didn’t remove his hand from Huebert’s face so easily, despite the obvious implications on said boy’s face. The Guardian just proved to only continue staring at the blue haired boy as small beads of sweat began to form and more confusion flooded his face. After a long period of sweating occurred to the half-elf’s satisfaction, his lips opened to finally speak.

That’s the thing though, isn’t it? He wasn’t stupid. Sure he could be crass and certainly act like the fool, not to mention how obscenely rude he could be to anyone who was not female or how- The point is Zelos was not a good person. Nor was he a worthy one. But he knew when lines shouldn’t be crossed.

Even if in order for him to acknowledge i, he had to pass over it first. It was only now that he gave some thought as to why Yuan was the way he was. The answer to the eternal riddle of ‘what did Martel see in him’ was so obvious. Yuan was different back then. Before Martel was taken away from him. Just like how Zelos was different back before trauma changed everything. They were… eerily alike in that regard. Maybe he is a little stupid. “…Yuan.” For once, his voice dared not carry a hint of venom nor jest. “I’m… sorry. You’re right. I’m- Look, I’m just sorry, okay? Shouldn’t have said a thing.”

Footsteps hesitated at the mention of the Guardian’s name. It wasn’t the fact that the red-head had called his name out, but the tone that it carried that caught his interest. Stopping, but not turning around, the half-elf waited for the human to say what he had to say before continuing on. What he heard, certainly surprised him.

Yuan didn’t answer right away. He was still weighing his options. To be an ass or not to. Hearing the Chosen apologize was certainly not something one heard everyday. He wasn’t sure he had ever heard Zelos apologize before.

“ I don’t typically waste my time caring what people think of me or what they say. I’ve heard it all by now, especially where Martel is concerned. You can say whatever you’d like, I don’t care, but don’t pull Martel’s name through the mud ever again. She deserves better. ”

The Guardian turned from his spot to look at Zelos. Pressing his lips together and cinching his eyebrows together as the thoughts of ‘being nice’ came to mind. It’s something that Martel would like him to do.

“ I’m a bit surprised by you apologizing, but I will accept it. ”

Does Yuan even have a sense of humor? Never mind that Zelos’ own was a tad… crude, but the point still stands. He’s always so grumpy and serious. Dude needs to lighten up. “I’m not into guys. I just know I’m attractive to everyone. It’s hard work but someone has to do it.” At least he’s pretty damn sure he isn’t.

An enormous eye roll came from the Guardian. He couldn’t believe how stupid Zelos’ were, they just never seemed to get things. If the guy didn’t want him to take things so seriously, he wouldn’t have bothered even mentioning about his dead fiance. That’s just classless, but it always happened. They never could keep their mouths shut long enough to understand the situation.
