The past may return in the present like experiencing winter while you’re surrounded by all the flowers in spring. Forgive yourself for that as well. Forgive yourself for still being in the process of recovering from all the guilt, shame, and stress. Forgive yourself for simply being human who deserves to have another chance to keep living a well-fulfilled life. You will make mistakes, and that’s inevitable but like the sun, you keep on rising each time you forgive yourself. Forgiving yourself means accepting you’ll never be the same again and allowing the peace that follows from doing so to change you forever.”

This scene is so beautiful to me because it’s one of those things the writers put in for the older viewers despite the overwhelming younger demographic, but instead of some kind of sexual joke, it’s an actually powerful wake-up call.
