Flow Like Water

You are so close my sapling. That which you’ve been striving torwards is within reach, and you only need one final burst of energy to make it: now is not the time to lose heart, for you are nearly there. Stride forward for just a little longer: the end is in sight.

Oh my sapling, we all fear taking the first step forward. It’s always so frightful to meet new people for it involves being vulnerable and being judged by others. My sweet thing, please know that all people experience this, this fear, of reaching out and beginning new relaitions. You are not alone in this.

Hold onto that knowledge, and reach out: I promise you will be met half way.

Peace is a choice. A choice that must be made every day. But peace does not mean inaction. It means living the life you can while ensuring the least number of people are hurt by your actions and your inactions. Perhaps life has not been kind. Then it is your duty to bring more kindness to the world.

You are a peaceful being, but only if you choose to be. What that means is, ultimately, up to you.

Day 31

The candle of my past. Ten of Wands. Overburdened by the weight of it all, traveling alone, no one to help, a creative force of energy but at high cost.

The pendulum of my present. Eight of chalice. The mists clear, hope is found again. The stars will always shine, and while the path may be obscured walk confidently forward for there is a tomorrow to be had.

The mirror glimpsing into my future. Queen of pentacles. Abundance, contentment, the fruits of my labor becoming apparent and all the I care for well cared for.

With that, I’ve done all 31 days. Thank you @tarotprose for hosting such a lovely event. Thank you everyone for your support through the month. And thank you to my cards, for giving me helpful hints along the way and being patient with me the whole time.

Day 30

Good things to look forward to: knight of swords. The battle draws to a close, and the fight is being taken to the beast. Using what tools I have I will be able to face what opposes me.

Prepare: empress, reversed. I’ve rejected my feminity, it may be time to re-embrace it.

Bringing it with me: the star. Hope that the trauma, pain, and terror will end.

Let go, judgement. Let go of past judgements, and see those around you anew.

Remain hopeful: justice, reversed. Remember that hurting others leads only to hurting yourself, but don’t let yourself be hurt either.

Day 29

I chose the page of cups as my signifier card, due to it being the card I connect best with. I also chose not to read reversals for this reading: it just didn’t feel right. Odd numbers are on the left, even on the right.

Special gifts/talents: the heirophant. My divinorsona knows traditions, but more importantly knows how to get around them and use them to their advantage.

Personality: the chariot. A person of action, someone who chooses. Always the person who decides where the group is going.

Perferred method of diving: eight of chalices. They choose divination that can reveal the light after dark times. Divination is meant to bring hope.

What do they divination tool/method/technique do they dislike? The sun. The sun represents to me a concrete answer. Knowing versus feeling. They are a creature of intuition and unconscious. And sort of divination that professes to “know” for certainty of anything is not the sort they enjoy.

Goals as a diviner? Eight of Wands. To reach a point at where they can say they have achieved what they sought to do.

Their reading style? Temperance. Balance is key. Their style is calm, one that is impartial. They don’t profess to know everything, instead choosing to make clear they know very little.

I think I’m gonna name them Matcha. Or, perhaps, since they are the page of cups, simply Aqua? I’ll figure it out.

Day 28

Where was I? Seven of swords. At a loss, searching for answers but doing it the wrong way.

Expectations? The world, reversed. I expected that I’d be unable to finish, to come to completion. That this would show I was not meant for this life.

Obstacles? Nine of swords, reversed. My own fear and inaction froze me.

How have I grown? King of chalices, reversed. I’ve taken command of my own emotions and own destiny.

Day 27

I chose my deity , kuan-yin, as my guide.

Something she wants me to know, ten of chalices (reversed): while peace seems distant now, I need to look at the situation differently, for the cups are meant to be filled.

Pay more attention to, the hanged man: she wants me to pay attention to my own suffering. While not reaction is always a reaction, I don’t need to suffer.

Hindering, ten of Wands (reversed): the ten of Wands represents the duty that comes with leadership and overburdening one self. This directly related to 2, I believe.

How she’s helping me, six of swords: while the chasm and forest beyondare frightening, she is by my side.

How I can connect to her, three of chalices: remember that we are all human, and to approach every situation with empathy where possible. Kuan-yin doesn’t want worship without meaning: she wants those who follow her to live their lives with compassion in their hearts.

Final advice, emperor (reversed): be the best version of myself as possible, and be wary of the influence I have over others.

Day 26

Card of the day/what lesson can I learn from today?

Since it’s late in the evening for me, I’ve chosen to use the focus of “what lesson can I learn from today” as today was a very high stress day for me. The star jumped out of my deck as I was shuffling, and while normally I don’t like to use those for my readings, I thought that it was a bit too on the nose not to.

In short: there is always hope, even in the most high stress situations.

Temperance

In times of strife it is so easy to see things in black and white. But Temperance reminds us that the world is not so: there is a rainbow of colors to take in and appreciate. Remember that you are not just your body, mind, or soul: you are all three. As you face your trials, consider: what parts of me am I leaving behind?

Be at peace, sapling, and steady yourself. The world can be cruel, but so long as you are in equilibrium there is nothing you cannot overcome.

Day 25

I won’t lie: when I pulled the first card I laughed, loudly. How does this deck see me? Like every other deck when I’ve asked this question, I pulled the page of cups (or chalices in this deck’s case). I find it amusing that my two main decks are in agreement with this.

The page of chalices represents giving of yourself freely and without restraint. The page offers a bowl of water and a water spirit comes to play. Their hearts are open to one another and they regard eachother kindly. The deck is saying that it views me as someone with an open heart, who gives freely.

Strengths, ten of chalices (reversed): in this case, I believe that the ten of chalices is emphasizing the meaning. The meaning being that of inter connectivity between the emotions and the world.

Weakness, two of Wands (reversed): while I have potential and a well of creative energy, u have difficulty manifesting it. Basically: I need to trust and nurture my intuition.

To learn, queen of chalices: I must learn to trusf my intuition (per the two of Wands) and I must trust in those around me. The queen is held aloft by the water, trusting that she won’t fall, and it is this trust that enables her to reach her full potential. Like her, I must trust that those who love me will support me in order to reach my own potential.

Divination advice, the hanged man: accept that tragedy happens, that suffering happens, that inaction is just as powerful as action. See beneath the immediate responses to the source of the suffering.

Our potential, six of swords: a pair of butterflies flies over a bottomless chasm, safe from the perils of the bridge of swords and the chasm itself. The world beckons them onword with a simple message: don’t look back, move on. Together, this deck and I will go to new places and on new adventures. We will move on. And we will learn how to not look back at what caused us harm.

Day 24

My signifier card is the five of pentacles, to represent my financial troubles.

At the root: page of swords. My struggles are not what they first appear to be.

How my struggles affect me: I am over burdened and ready to give up.

What needs to be addressed first: judgement, reversed. I must acknowledge that the end is not coming as soon as I think. I am not doomed and I am not fated to live this way: I can still move forward.

Overcome: ten of pentacles, reversed. Start by acknowledging that things are not stable, not happy, not what they could be. And then remember that they can still be that way, I need only work for it.
