4 more senses that are developed off the primary senses are;

●Clairalience- meaning clear smell, developed from clairsentient.

●Clairtangency- meaning clear touch, AKA Psychometry, developed from clairsentience and claircognizance.

●Clairempathy- clear empathy, this is a stronger version of clairsentient but is developed from clairsentient, claircognizance, and clairvoyance. We all have a certain degree of empathy, but to be a true empath it takes developing those 3 primary senses fully.

Once you've developed and exercised one gift the rest will be able to be accessed. Some senses may not be as strong as another, but it doesn't mean you don't possess it. Some people possess these gifts stronger than others, but we are all born with these senses! Due to society conditioning, and the way we are raised most don't develop them the way we are supposed to. That doesn't mean you can't develop them now though! Just because your psychic gifts aren't as strong as the next person doesn't mean you aren't better at something else. Some people aren't meant to access those gifts at 100% and that's okay. So don't get down on yourself if you happen to be having a difficult time developing them. You may be the person that comes into play to help another on their spiritual and healing journey in another way. They can also take time to develop and its not something that's gonna happen in a week's time. Your gonna need to set aside time alone and have determination and stamina, these gifts can take a lot of energy out of you in the beginning. You must have patience, and believe in yourself most importantly!

Before you start you need to ask yourself are you truly prepared to move forward with gifts like these? Are you truly ready to work with the dead? It's not just your spirit guides that will be in contact with you if you develop this gift fully. You will be opening yourself up to negative energy and you must be prepared to deal with that. So before you push yourself to open up, ask yourself honestly if that's something you want to live with for the rest of your life? Also is your family ready for that too? If it's not, that's okay. You can still stretch certain senses to a point where you can pick up on certain energies of others without "piercing the veil" so to speak.

The actions of a spell are what raise energy during said spell - performing these actions draws the energy from in and around you and puts them into the spell. You can also raise the energy yourself by pulling it into your body from external sources and channeling it into your spellwork - this can be done by [grounding], among other methods. If you cast circles, you can do so and call the elements into the space and ask for them to lend you their energy, and that can be used to put energy into spells as well.

I’m new to spells and I really need to know how to power them up please? I do and say everything it tells me to, but they don’t seem to work. How can I add the missing power?

Hi Suzie,

Thanks for getting in touch, that’s a great question.

The fundamental basics of casting a spell are that you are raising energy, filling it with your intent, directing it, then releasing it to the universe. Put like that it sounds pretty simple I know, but as with many things in life, to fully understand the process, we need to break it down.

1. Raising Energy

There are several different ways of doing this. Some people like to hum or sing, others dance. Beating drums is another popular one, as is sex magick (as long as you can hang on until the right moment!) Personally, I like to chant, because it helps with setting my intention correctly and helps me to focus. This doesn’t have to be a loud shouty business! I prefer to mutter - mainly because I feel like a bit of a tool yelling my head off - but whatever works for you! Again, time frame is a fairly subjective issue. As a general rule of thumb, I’d say from when you feel it growing from inside your belly/solar plexus until you feel ready to explode.

2. Intention

These 2 steps go hand in hand really, as you are building energy with a specific intent. As the energy grows, you need to be able to clearly visualise what it is you want to happen. So for a money spell you might see your bank balance increasing or your wallet filling. For weight loss spells you’d visualise yourself weighing less and less until you are at your desired size etc.

3. Directing

This is when you tell the energy what you want it to do. I love writing rhyming incantations because they are more fun to say, but a few simple sentences or even off the top of your head is fine. If you are performing a 3rd party spell, this is when you tell the energy where to go. If sympathetic magick, this would be when you used your poppet/moved your candles or whatever. Basically, this is the practical bit.

4. Releasing

Once you’ve said and done all of the necessary bits, then you are ready to release the energy into the universe. Again, there are different ways to do this. Some like to ring a bell, clap their hands or thump the table top to signify it is done. Others might use a phrase like ‘So Mote It Be’ or words to that effect. I like ‘Let It Be,’ as I’m a secular witch, but again, whatever means something to you. This is where you send the energy that you’ve built out and on its way.

Casting successful spells takes a lot of practice, the ability to visualise and the discipline to focus. Wishing you the very best of luck with everything, and I hope this has been helpful.

A spell to enchant an object or piece of jewelry to help give the caster energy for divination and aid.

You Will Need:

💨 Piece of jewelry or an object 💨 Windy Day 💨 Outdoor space where you can work

Steps:

💨 Prepare yourself for the spell however you see fit

💨 With your object in hand go outside to the space you are going to be working in, if you can face into the wind

💨 Grasp your object to your chest and feel the wind in your hair and blow against you. Feel its energy merging with yours. Visualize this however you desire, this spell is heavily visualization.

💨 Hold out your object into the the wind. Visualize both your energy and that of the winds, swirling about the object, like a cyclone. Visualize this whirlwind being absorbed into the object

💨 At this point I often imagine almost like an eye appearing during this process, for this spell to help give you energy for divination work.

💨 Once you feel satisfied with the amount of energy placed into your object, thank the wind for its help however you feel is fit.

💨 Wear/hold the object whenever you are using divination, especially if its going to be a large session.

You’ll never get a blank empty mind, meditation is actually about observation, just watch whatever is going on, witness it without getting involved. Be just a witness without any action or reaction to whatever you witness.
