Hi. The title is blunt and to the point, and so will the rest of this post because, frankly, something needs to be done and it needs to be done right fucking now.
For context, my friend, who I’ll refer to as “Z”, broke up with his last boyfriend a month ago. This boyfriend is called Tycho and he is relentlessly stalking Z online and wont cease. Even after blocking him and completely removing him from his life, Z is still being harassed and taunted by Tycho and his genuinely horrifying levels of infatuation.
There’s so much more detail to what Tycho has done/is doing to Z, but Z himself typed it up in much more detail than I could ever do justice for. There’ll be a link for it, and everything else I’ll talk about, at the end of the post.
Z is a fucking great guy and I love him to pieces, but this... This has nearly driven him to suicide. The extent of Tycho and his obsession with Z, tied in with a long past of mental and emotional manipulation, nearly drove my friend to ending his own life. On top of this, throughout the course of today, Tycho has pretended to be Z, spamming messages like “feel free to add me” and linking Z’s real profile to harass him.
THIS. ISN’T. OKAY.
On top of this, Tycho was also, according to a screenshot sent to me by Z, planning to create “an invitebot and impersonating him and his close friends so they all get shit from hundreds of people.” So not only was he going to create a bot to cause more grief for Z, but also ME AND HIS OTHER FRIENDS. He soon took at all back, saying “ I'm so sorry. I'll delete everything right now, please. I'll do anything in the world to make up for what I've done.”
No, Tycho. You don’t get to be forgiven now. You’ve fucked with my friend, someone that I truly, deeply care about, and you nearly attempted to fuck with me and my friends directly.
