         iâve moved!
this blog (formerly wingshead) is now an ARCHIVE.
SEMI-PERMANENT HIATUS.
So, this has been a while coming.Â
Iâve honestly had the time of my life playing Steve Rogers here. When I first started, I wasnât sure if Iâd fit in since the marvel fandom was huge, and I knew there were many other Caps out there who were much more than experienced than I was. But you guys all welcomed me with open arms and invited me in without hesitation. It was really heartwarming to experience, and while some may rag on the marvel fandom for drama, I personally havenât seen anything but good from you guys.
Iâve had the absolute pleasure of writing with so many talented roleplayers on here - in the marvel fandom, in the dc fandom, and several other fandoms as well. Iâve been able to develop Steve and put him in situations he normally wouldnât be in, figure out how heâd react to it and things much bigger than himself. Iâve written short, sweet threads and long, confrontational threads and everything in-between including crack, drama, humor, and slice of life. Iâve been able to put my Steve through a lot and itâs thanks to everyone who gave me the opportunity to interact with them and stretch Steve to his limits.
I am so, SO thankful for the time Iâve spent on here and the chances that everyone has given me. Iâm really sad to let Steve go, and honestly, I donât want to. Heâs my favorite character out of anything, period. I love him to death, and I hate knowing Iâm not going to be able to play him anymore. Heâs a part of me, and has been since Iâve been a little kid. But my muse for him has been dwindling, even though I want to play him badly. Iâve been gone for too long, and people have moved on, and while it definitely sucks, Itâs a part of life and of roleplay and I've grown to accept it. My time on Steve for now is over, and while Iâm leaving this blog for the time being, Iâm not saying goodbye. I have plans to come back to him, whether it be in the Winter or in May when his new movie comes out, or in the Summer. Steve is my baby. I love him more than I can convey in words, but Iâm not going to beat a dead horse and force myself to write him when itâs obvious I need to leave him be and move on.
I might not be on Steve anymore, but I do have two other accounts that I will still be on, 00MOGAR and SUNCHUCKS. Theyâre not marvel blogs so itâs totally understandable if you donât feel like following, but if any of you do then Iâll see you guys there. <3
ANYWAY! I want to say thank you to everyone who has followed me, sent me messages, interacted with me, talked to me out of character, developed relationships and friendships and antagonism with my Steve and everything else in between this past year. There are certain people in particular that have been there for my Steve and grown really close to him this past year and you all know who you are. ( agentxthirteenxâ, wxngmanâ, xstrangeâ, ironarmoredâ, tordenvaerâ, heroforhollywoodâ, ozimyy, sonofasymbolâ, iâm looking at you guys ).
Youâve all been so much more than I ever could have expected and hoped for, and you made my time on Steve one of the best. Thank you guys so much and I hope that when I get back on Steve, I might still see you guys on here. ⼠I love you all so much and I hope you guys have the time of your lives playing superheroes and supervillains. ;)
You're a really amazing writer :)

steve doesnât stop by the LABS in the tower often. apart from the few times heâs needed to go get tony for something when he wouldnât pick up his phone or comms, heâs tended to stay clear. steveâs not exactly of SCIENTIFIC MIND, after all. strategic -- yes. compassionate? yes. but when it came to solving advanced physics equations or engineering a new piece of technology or understanding the effects of a certain chemical on a biological level -- WELL. he leaves that to the people who have an affinity for these things. people like jane, or tony or bruce, or doctor cho.
which is a reason why heâs standing where he is, curiously inspecting the lab room and all the papers and tools scattered about with his eyes only and not his hands. heâs close enough to read the words off a paper on a lab table, but far away enough from anything important that that still heâs only a few feet from the entrance.
" well ... i can DEFINITELY see youâve been working a lot ...â he states, looking around the room with a bit of a smile turned her way. â -- i canât say i understand what all this is, though it looks big. but i wasnât asking if i should be worried about your WORK ... â jane arrived to the tower about a week ago, and the last time he saw her was the third night. for a lack of better word, he was a little worried. itâs the reason heâs stopped by in the first place.

Hello! I am new to independent rp and very shy. I have a lot of anxiety, especially when it comes to following/being followed, and I was wondering how you would explain to find people to follow, since I know literally nothing. I really admire your writing and character! You don't have to answer if this is a bother. Thanks for reading and have a nice day!
Hello! First of all: welcome! Independent roleplay is a lot of fun, not just because you can find yourself interacting with just about any character from any show, book, movie, etc without restriction, but because independent roleplay is very free in terms of what you can do and more importantly, what you WANT to do. You can follow who you want, write what you want, log on and post however much or little you feel like posting, and thereâs always going to be someone to come back to and RP with. Itâs a good way to find people you can connect with and become really good friends with.
Anyway, there are a few ways you can find people to follow, so Iâll list them all and hopefully one (or more!) of the methods appeal to you!
INTERACTIONS. This one I think is what most people stick to! Itâs honestly one of the surefire ways of finding blogs, and kind of spiderwebbing across to even more blogs. Basically you follow someone, and you see them writing with a different blog that you donât follow. But you like the writing and the muse, and you check out their blog and you really like their rp blog, so you follow them. And while youâre checking out their blog, you might find someone else you want to follow. It kind of has a domino effect, where you can end up following a lot of people that youâd be interested in roleplaying with or even just following and seeing them write.
FOLLOW BACK. As you start to interact with other blogs, youâll find that other people will start following you because theyâve seen your interactions with a blog they follow. You can check out someoneâs blog that way too, decide whether itâs a blog youâd like to follow or not!
BLOG PROMOTIONS. This is one that a lot of people, including myself, like to use! Itâs basically a banner/edit/graphic that you make as a photo post, and you write a short blurb about the specifics of your blog or put a quote and link to your blog in the text. (ex.) Itâs a lot like an advertisement, and your friends and/or followers can reblog it and spread the word and let other blogs see that you exist, and take interest in you. Itâs a good way to find people when youâre new to a blog, or when youâre short on people to follow/interact with!Â
EXPLORE BUTTON. This isnât my favorite method of finding people, but it definitely gets you started on following people. Over on the right side of the page there should be a ârecommended blogsâ sidebar that shows blogs you might potentially want to follow, based off of your own posts or blogs that you follow/interact with. It shows four blogs, but beneath the last blog, there should be a âshow more blogsâ link that you can click, and itâll show more blogs that you might be interested in!
BLOGROLLS. Iâm not sure how many people have this anymore as it used to be popular a few years ago but now not so much (I have one right here). Itâs usually listed under urlhere.tumblr.com/blogroll or something like that, or somewhere in their navigation tabs. People have blogrolls as ways to show people who theyâre following, let others check the blogs out and follow themselves! Itâs a good way of letting new roleplayers or even just people looking for more people to follow/interact with find blogs that they like.
Similarly, a lot of people have bias lists or follow forevers that they make for important milestones. Itâs basically a list of people that they follow and love, for you to check out yourself and possibly follow as well!
Now, in terms of following etiquette, thereâs really only one main thing: Rules. Almost every blog has a page of rules, most blog rules typically follow the same core rules, but itâs good to read through them because thereâs always differences too, some things specific to the blogs regarding shipping, or their character in terms of following/diverging from canon, etc.
A lot of people donât like to follow a lot of blogs because the dash can get cluttered at times, and they get overwhelmed either because the posts are moving too fast, or they have too many people to reply to, or what have you. Others like following a lot of blogs because of the rush and because thereâs always multiple people to watch or interact with. Youâre going to start off small at first, itâs a given for each and every blog, and you can figure out from there whether youâre more comfortable following only a few blogs, or if youâd like to follow a lot.
If youâre shy, then when you make your account, start off by following people youâre friends with who have roleplay blogs, or people that you know, and go from there! Following people can be an intimidating thing at times, I know. Not everyone is going to follow you back. It sucks, a lot, and we all have gone through it and itâll most likely happen again (I can personally attest to that) but you canât let that stick with you or effect you. So someone didnât follow you back. You feel bad for a bit, but you need to let it roll off your back and continue on. Most likely, itâs nothing personal, and you shouldnât take it as that either. And for every one person that doesnât follow you back, there are undeniably two more that would. As long as youâre having fun with the people you follow and who follow you, thatâs all that matters!
Iâd suggest taking your time though! Donât feel pressured or stressed about having to follow a lot of people at once. Roleplaying is meant to be fun, and if youâre not having fun, then take it slow! There is honestly no rush to roleplay, there shouldnât have to be. Follow a few blogs that youâre really interested in, and then expand from there over a few days. If youâre not 100% sure about a blog, you donât have to follow them immediately. You can check back later and decide then whether itâs a good fit for you and/or your muse or not.Â
Honestly though, it just comes down to a bit of initiative on your part at first, and then waiting. The first step is interaction, and as you start to interact with blogs, people will start to check out your blog and follow it. Then it comes full circle again and again.
I hope this helped in some way, and Iâm super happy to have you a part of the indie rp community! Iâve been here for around three years now out of my six on tumblr (the first three I was in group roleplays), and itâs honestly proved the best time Iâve had on tumblr. Indie rp is a good way to find a place for yourself, develop your skills, meet a bunch of new people and friends and connect with them, and just have a ton of fun. I hope you find yourself having a good time here too and gimme a holler when you make your account okay?âĽâĽâĽ
