Having Eridian's "question" indicator be tapping the ground twice is very endearing, but also, it makes so much sense!!! It's a literal request for more information! They echolocate, of course when they're confused they'd want to create more sound to get a better look what they're trying to understand!!! You can totally see how this would translate from "questioning" physical things in their environment to intangible things, like statements made by other people. Maybe it's even something that starts with Eridian children — being less used to vocalisations and finding tapping to create noise easier — that just gets carried into adulthood, sort of like babies calling "mama" because that's the easiest sound for them to make. Just... what a good little detail to have. Chef's kiss.
