once upon a time

This happened not too long ago. 

It only took three years, then a three year break, then finally one more year at a community college to get an associates degree. Maybe in another seven or eight years I’ll have a bachelor's.  

Red wine followed by chamomile tea. Couldn’t ask for a better rest than that. 

Red wine and fried rice. No better way to end a day like this one.

You steal to benefit nobody but yourself and wonder why people try to stop you. You yell in defense of something you know is wrong and yet you try to make yourself seem right. You hurt people in this process and hope that it breaks them, but they won’t give up. 

Sometimes life's okay. Other times I'm not sure I know what it is.
