[[ Cause it’s time for a goddamn change.

[[ If you can’t tell right now, I’m nearly about to punch a hole through my computer screen out of frustration and anger. Why? 

[[ Because in the genderbent SEES group me and a few people were planning to make on Tumblr, someone that had a huge problem with how one of the team members was going to be playing fem!Junpei had scared her off. She was just getting her muses back, about to get back into the fun of RP, and then the very threat - mind you, no action, just threat - of not being liked has pushed her away from the stage, so to speak.

[[ We’ve gotten to the point in this community where someone not liking how someone plays a character is enough to stop all trains and plans in their tracks. 

[[ Is it just me, or is this fucking wrong?  Why is it that we are now having to constrain ourselves via unwritten rules of the playground, in like fucking Mean Girls?

[[ Why, lately, have people been resorting to shitty underhanded tactics of trying to fuck fellow roleplayers up in their attempts to keep their muses alive, and killing blogs and muses left and right?

[[ AND MOST IMPORTANTLY,

[[ ARE WE JUST GOING TO SIT HERE AND WATCH AS OUR COMMUNITY IS DESTROYED BECAUSE OF PETTY INNER DRAMA?

[[ We have a fucking tight community. It’s filled with brilliant writers, artists, cosplayers, singers, and even actors. I follow nearly 2 thousand people involved in the Persona fandom in one way, shape, or form. 

[[ Can we, for once in the history of the internet, actually put aside our issues with people, and salvage our fandom before it starts capsizing on us? 

[[ Can we put aside the idea that you have to be playing an accepted version of a character in order to actually get known in the fandom? 

[[ Can we put aside the idea that settling differences and interpersonal conflicts needs to be broadcast for everyone to see and potentially jump in on, and exacerbate the problem?

[[ Can we put aside, for just a moment, that while not everyone in the fandom is a master at what they do, there are fucktons of people who put their heart and soul into their work, whichever method they choose to put their heart on paper, so to speak? And can we support them in their efforts, instead of shooting them unwarranted hate and disgust?

[[ We can. And we need to start now.

[[ I’m tired of assholes ruining my friends’ blogs and desires to roleplay.

[[ I’m tired of seeing less and less people want to roleplay anymore because the number of people doing them has gone down significantly - not because of a lack of content, but because of a loss of cohesion in our community.

[[ I’m tired. 

[[ And I don’t want to leave.

[[ I love each and every one of you, and I don’t want to leave because the unnecessary drama is growing to be too much for me to deal with.

[…This is actually more out of control than people think.

I left, because of this. Cait left, because of this. Poki left because of this. A lot of people hate this fucking community because there are people that ruin it for us. And no, I’m not coming back, although I’m sure none of you were curious, but you need to actually fucking realize that words aren’t just words.

You say something and it sticks. You can ruin someones life with a few words, a threat, something you didn’t mean at the time but hey, you did it. You ruined something.
