Hi, everyone. I’m making a post for my friend, who must be left unnamed on tumblr due to her family following her here. The basics of it is, she’s a minor in an extremely mentally and verbally abusive home, and needs to get out as soon as possible. Her family, and especially mother and grandmother in particular, constantly blame her for everything wrong happening in the household, and her mother explicity told her that she ruined her dreams of getting into college, because she became pregnant with her. They call her depression a “self pity party” and she’ll “end up like her father”, who is unemployed. In the past, when she used to self-harm, her mother literally got up and just left. She flat-out refused to acknowledge it. My friend is constantly having to bottle up everything in an attempt to keep her family from berating her. 

So, she’s finally made the decision to get out of there. Her GoFundMe has a goal of $2750, enough to pay off a $250 fine and buy a car to get out of her home. From there, she’ll begin looking for a job and apartment.

So I really wish I didn’t have to do emergency commissions, but I really have no other choice right now. My dad has been fired, and along with losing a source of income, the only reason we have a home is because of where he worked. We will be forced to move out by the end of the year, and as of right now, we have maybe $1000 in the bank account for 5 people. So I’m going to be opening up emergency commissions in order to help pay for expenses (I.E, my anti depressants, maybe college, I have no idea if that’s even a possibility for me anymore). I know money is tight for everyone, but I really can’t afford to charge anything less anymore.

I’m going to tell you a story. Once upon a time, I was a wee frightened child of twenty-something, and I had nary a single light sprite to my name. A beautiful heroine heard my pathetic weeping and gifted one to me. I kept this light sprite. I hoarded it like I hoard old books and the pre-chewed gum of celebrities. And then I decided to quit. Flight Rising, not hoarding delicious celebrity gum. And I thought, I shall pass on the tradition and share this light sprite with an equally sad and pathetic tumblrer. AND SO, WITHOUT FURTHER ADO THE RULES 1. YOU MUST NOT ALREADY HAVE A LIGHT SPRITE*.
