Plegia and Ylisse still had their quarrels, but recently Ylissieans managed to visit the opposing country without ambush much like Plegians. Squabble arose here and there, but were quickly broken up by others. Wanting to get a taste of Plegian culture (courtesy to Henry), Ricken gazed at each stall within a Plegian marketplace.
The place was certainly different from a typical Ylissiean marketplace; the food differed, behavior seemed odd, and the climate was hot. Despite the Mage’s ‘armor’ feeling and appearing quite thin, the heat took a toll on the boy. Sunburned and sweating, Ricken bit back any complaint; if local residents heard, they’d surly have his head. He was too occupied to complain anyway. Captivated by the different weapons and food, the Mage pondered what he should buy. While lost in thought, he collided with another.
He reeled back, attempting to keep his balance. The stranger began to scold him.
“Okay, jeez! You don’t have to be rude about it!”
Hearing the other react so strongly, much more than just a meek "Sorry", intrigued the diviner. He hadn't expected someone that looked like he was just a kid to actually try and hold his ground or bite back. It was a little annoying but interesting nonetheless.
Hayato considered actually lightening up his tone, but when he actually got a look at the person he had gotten mixed up with on accident, he couldn't help but snort a little at his attire. He had seen his own slew of accessories, but the big, floppy hat the other wore definitely got to him at least a little bit.
"What did you expect me to say? You would probably just keep bumping into others if someone didn't set the record straight. Consider it a favor."
Whilst it wasn't explicitly stated that he was treating himself as the victim in the scenario, it was undeniable that he was treating this more as a one-sided problem, more than he ought to. Still, he kept a prideful smirk on his face shortly after speaking.
