New Art because I haven't had to focus my artistic energy on a school project, finally
Overall I'm pretty happy with the piece, but there's certainly some issues.
I need to improve in choosing fitting colours, these work, but you can tell I don't know what I'm doing.
Also, the level of detail varies too much, the belt looks super detailed and nice while most of the rest of its body is quite simple with just some mediocrely drawn clothing folds for texture.
I need to somehow manage to get a somewhat consistent style for myself, not sure how I'll go about figuring that out.
It's a Homunculus, a human sized and shaped figure made of clay (hence the name)
It was the first truly intelligent Homunculus its creator, Hyronimus Abdél, had made, so the ass spent the next decade+ trying to replicate that. Whenever that didn't work, he got angry as fuck and killed a noticable number of Claylin's, or H3 as Hyronimus called it, siblings which he made and used to do various tasks and work around his laboratory.
At some point Hyronimus met some other genius noble alchemist asshole named Alastor Magnus. The two were assholes together, a few years afterward Hyronimus, in an attempt to show how smart he is, showed Alastor Claylin's intelligence, which he had hidden up to that point in order to keep his invention safe until he understood it.
Alastor of course soon hired some goons to kidnap Claylin to research it himself, some other faction of unknown asses attacked the transport, Claylin got away and everything sucks for it now, as it has to survive on its own with only the little alchemy it picked up from Hyronimus.
I quite love Claylin, it's certainly one of the best DnD backup characters I've made. It's a reflavoured Plasmoid using the homebrew Inventor class by Kibles Tasty (which is awesome). It's an extreme people pleaser and doesn't think of itself as a full person, you know, standard dnd character stuff.
