Grian will huff that it isn't his fault his charging port is so suspiciously placed. But when he's been away from the station for a while and eagerly shoves it in the moment he gets there, it's clear that he's getting off on it. He'll insist that course charging himself is meant to feel good, that's how he restores his energy, it's nothing weird... all while busily fucking himself on the plug.
When he just needs a quick top-up he'll bounce on it, teasing himself with the flickering connection. In and out and in and out, feeling the satisfying shock to his system each time. But when he needs to recharge completely, Grian goes into a stasis mode, all sleepy and disconnected. Throbbing around the charger as he essentially cockwarms it in a daze until his batteries are all filled up.
There's meant to be safeties in place on the redstone-powered charging station, but Grian thinks of them as more like suggestions. It's easy for him to mess around with the design and cut out a few surplus elements, until the charge comes in strong and unmetered.
The first time he takes the full force of it his legs lock up and he almost keels over, quivering around the torrent of energy. Sparks pulse along every sensor, lighting him up in surges of ecstasy. And then it just keeps going. Now he knows what that component was good for. And that's his last coherent thought for a while.
Grian's overheating components whirr and spark as the energy is just pumped into him. His input has gone all staticy and flares with random colours, and he doesn't even recognise the flurry of beeps and chirps, released as his scripts start malfunctioning, as his own. The flow of power is so raw and good it makes his valves tighten, trying to ram the plug deeper. Maybe he succeeds, because then his inputs start glitching out. The blank spots start getting bigger. His wires feel sticky. The inside of his head is so hot and it's making his thoughts so slow... another surge and it's all gone.
Grian comes back from the forced reboot with his batteries humming with a full charge, but his mind all groggy and scrambled. The station, hit with a backlash of energy, is powered down and busted. Grian blinks at the red lights and flippy switches. Those do something. But it's so confusing. Thinking about it too hard makes his eyes flicker on and off.
Luckily there's so many smart people around that can help him fix it. They can take a look at his wiring, too...and maybe decide to leave the fried parts in for a while, because Grian is adorable when he's all fuzzy and glitching.
