we all have them , those songs that defined our childhoods , the kind of songs that only take one note to take you back to a time where life was simpler . where your shoes still lit up every time you walked , when your only worry in life was whether your parents packed you a turkey sandwich or a peanut butter and jelly and you spent your mornings daydreaming instead of living in the reality that awaited you when you got older . when we get older , we don't realize we attach songs to memories until they've already been made , when suddenly you're grey and still able to be catapulted back to who you were in college , overwhelmed with the smell of fraternity basements and a bass that throttled through every inch of your chest . because life is full of memories , life is full of music ⸺ and we want to hear the way yours sounds .
