William and Fergus | Pirates in Britain
-
Fergus eyed the food set in front of him, which looked edible enough, but he didn’t wish to look too eager or grateful to the criminals that surrounded him. Gradually he picked up the grimey looking, dented fork on the table by his plate, and took a small bite. It was blander than anything he could have imagined, after the rich fare he was used to, but it wasn’t gruel. He slowly ate most of the food, while the pirates raucously told stories and jokes.
William watched Fergus as he tried the first bite of his food, before digging into his own meal. He listened to the many conversations going on around him, and heard one of the men at his table address the red head. "What're ye doin' on board? Ye don't belong here. Yer too fancy."
