In regards to Mischa’s birthday:
Hannibal Rising states that Mischa was approaching three years old in its first chapter, at the same time as stating that specific date was the second day of Hitler’s Operation Barbarossa. This makes that date June 23, 1941.
Mischa must therefore have turned three years old within 1941, which means she was born in the year 1938.
Now, since she was not yet three as of June 23, her birthday must then fall after that date. (I originally assumed she was three and a half on June 23, which was why her birthday was originally January 21. I was mistaken.)
I thought about having her birthday be shortly after the move to the hunting lodge but wished to avoid a July birthday for personal reasons. June 30th was debated for a bit, but I didn’t like the idea of her birthday being within a week of their relocation. Giving her a birthday in November or December also felt wrong, as that felt far longer than approaching three years old - would almost be easier, at that point, to say two and a half.
The Zodiac signs of Libra and Virgo felt best for her as well, as opposed to the Cancer she would have been if her birthday were so very close to the day they left.
So - setting her birthday a few months later than the escape to the hunting lodge - in September - felt best to me, and giving her a Virgo-Libra cusp allows her to take both positive and negative traits from each of those two signs (as she feels very much a Libra prior to everything that happens in the spring of 1945 as opposed to the Virgo that she feels like after it - although, to be honest, she does feel like a good mix of both).
September 21 makes Mischa technically more a Virgo, but the cusp lets her take both the strong sense of justice and the fascination with beauty and art that feel right for her.
Due to a misread of the canon text, Mischa’s birthday is no longer January 21 but will instead be September 21. The year remains the same.
There will be changes to her about page shortly.

Mischa has an extreme hatred for dead baby jokes. Although she is very much a fan of other black comic jokes or works in general, she will not put up with these to the point that - if she notes a particular person using dead babies as a brunt of a joke too often - it is likely that she will eat them later.
backbone like steel. backbone like barbed wire. backbone like “touch me. touch me and see what happens to your hands.” smile like an oil spill. smile like a molotov cocktail. smile like “kiss me. kiss me and see what happens to your tongue.”

Melanie Laurent donned a gorgeous Blumarine Fall 2015 gown with a shimmering, rainbow-type print, matched with a black clutch. This gown was a showstopper - I originally thought it was an Elie Saab gown - that looked even more amazing in motion on the runway.

The Wendigo wiki for Until Dawn makes me really happy.
“ – And you have missed mine.” It is not the circumstances that draw fascination, merely this initial attention, yet, she does not wish to voice this and continue the argument. A person who repeatedly misses her points and clumsily twists her words is not worth her time. “It is a more interesting conver- sation than most.”
“Any point that requires a dead child is one well worth missing, in my opinion.”
Not that her opinion would be carried by all - she knows that at least. An opinion like most. Whatever this woman’s point was, she does not wish to see it.
“It only holds interest for those of us who do not deal with it in any real form. Theories are easier.”
“ – One cannot define what is other without a solid understanding of the accepted whole.” Bedelia is a person who enjoys being challenged, however, in order for her to consider such a thing suitably interesting, she must hold a respect for her sparring partner. Here – such an awe is ab- sent, and this argument is designated as an irri- tating exercise in semantics. “Typically, it is the very cause of death that draws one’s attention. The young rarely seem to die quietly.”
“Then you have proven my point. The focus is less the child itself than it is the surrounding circu- mstances.”
And yet Mischa does not feel satis- factory in the slightest. Then again, she’d thought this less an argument and more a...discussion. There was no happiness in this.
“Must we discuss the death of children?”
Warm hazel hues widened to resemble the size of saucers and her overall facial expression was similar to that of a deer caught in the headlights when her body crashed into another. “Oh,” A nervous but vibrant grin cracked across her profile as an anxious hand came up comb through her tangled mess of bangs. “That’s- That’s okay. I guess I just have one of those faces.” She usually did just blend in with the crowd, so it wasn’t too hard to believe.
The blonde couldn’t help but smile - perhaps it was the shakiness, the familiar gestures. “At least it’s a nice face.” One hand reached up to tip the edge of her hat in mimicry of a gentlemanly gesture - then she paused, with a fond smile. “Mischa,” by way of a name, hers, although she didn’t say that. “I didn’t hurt you, did I?”

There is brief moment he is reminded of Father; those strings of long ago, as he sees pale eyes. But mere instant passes and public smile curves, “I’m afraid it would be the former, mademoiselle. I’ve not made my presentation on the venue these last seasons,” And strong, veined hand is offered, “An expatriate as well.”
Ah. This, at least, was an easy enough explanation. With his lack of appearance and her own reluctance to join all but the most refined of parties (or the least, given her own proclivities on that end), there was very little overlap. She didn’t know him. Perhaps he bore a family resemblance to one of the others here. “America affords me more opportunities, unfortunately for my country. I would much rather be there.” She took his hand with her own. “A pleasure, I’m sure.”
“Why would it make it harder?”
“Something like leading people on---- Or being bored.”
