We are disabled, as people with Celiac. Socially, mentally, and physically. Yes, Celiac affects the brain too, so mentally too.

I am tired of even the disability community not seeing that some auto-immune diseases, not just Celiac, QUALIFY as a disability (and recognized in the US by the ADA!).

Celiac is WAY more than a tummy ache. It’s over 300 symptoms. Endless pain. All your favorite restaurants and foods being taken from you. Public isolation because you can only eat at such a small amount of safe restaurants. Pain mentally and pain physically.

-dont go to the emergency room with dental problems. go to the dentist

-bagged greens are cheaper than pre-made salads

-taco bell is NOT worth the money anymore. 1/4 cup mayo, 1/4 cup sour cream, 3 tblspoons pickled jalapenos+2tblspoons of the jar liquid, 2 tsp paprika 1 tsp cumin 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp onion powder salt+pepper. all in your blender. creamy jalapeno sauce

-dont quit your job unless you have a bunch of job interviews lined up immediately after

-use resources. food bank, unemployment, housing assistance, financial aid, etc. yes there will be paperwork. but Do It

-dont stay awake longer than 20 hours. you Will start to become impulsive and cranky. resting for 20 minutes is better than trying to stay awake

-for every 2 hours you spend looking up close at screens, spend 20 minutes looking at something far away from you. stretch your wrists a lot

-dont do that yoga stretch where you roll your head around your shoulders. youre grinding down the joints in your neck

-be nice to your friends, bullying them as a joke gets old. if you need a ride somewhere at least offer them gas money

-brush your teeth at any time of the day but especially before you sleep. dont snack in bed if you can help it. make your bed the Clean Teeth Zone. keep floss picks by your bed

-dont tell your boss youre adhd/autism/depression/suicidal. dont trust your coworkers with that. you NEVER know how people will take it and its none of their business

-train your pets to go to the front door when they hear a fire alarm

freeze half of a big meal into smaller portions instead of getting sick of it and letting it go bad, then your freezer has lots of options to thaw for supper

To call it disappointing or disrespectful or anything other than simply trying to have some semblance of normalcy and tranquility in a moment of huge fundamental change feels as misunderstanding the situation and taking these people in bad faith, bad faith cultivated in small circles of echo chambers convincing and reaffirming each other about this being a firing following a huge fight where everyone hates each other.

I saw the comments and the asks before I saw the vod. Ive been following this blog for a while and sent some asks before, Im on anon because I genuinely am worried if I turn it off it will end up with me getting harassed.

I was predisposed to think this way too, and I was shocked by how sober, normal and not shady or fake it was. Again, speculation is natural with a situation as unclear as this is, I am not saying not to speculate, but a lot of you arent really doing that, instead coming to conclusions and your anxieties are souring the empty space. Again, normal reaction, but the fact that its normal doesn't mean its a rational thing that should be entertained and built upon the way its being done after the vod.

We all have feelings and theories but ultimately regardless of how much we ourselves have spoken on the matter we dont actually know whats going on, only a week and some days have passed.

They might be grieving too, and they likely dont want to make a spectacle out of their grief. Understandably so

Drawfee has been in my life for a good number of years now. I can't remember exactly when I first started watching but once I did it became a constant comfort for me. Always there in the background. I had never joined their patreon - even if it was something I had always planned on doing - but still very much a fan in the shadows. You never truly know when things are going to change, and the regret you feel from not taking an action you should have done before.

As of posting this, it's been over a week since Karina announced she is leaving Drawfee. That day had felt so odd and numbing knowing that something that I love would forever change. But while it's sad that such a great host is leaving, I wish nothing but the best for everyone. I even heard that their annual Trans Rig charity stream is happening for pride so that's awesome! So instead of feeling sad, I want to say thank you.

Thank you so much Karina for what you brought to Drawfee! For the laughs and bits! For your love of neopets and digimon and Yu-gi-oh and Trigun and so many other anime that I've never seen nor heard of! For the amazing Va-Pride-ity Hour stream last year! For making the crew play through Monster Rancher and Miitopia!
