The sea was quiet.. the cookie who had controlled it nowhere in sight. It has been four month since Sea Fairy had turned to ice. Four months since her sword had been taken from her. And no one had noticed…
The ice statue of the elemental remained where it had last been left: near the shores of an island far north of the Tower of Frozen Waves. Where she still remains in a dreamless sleep, facing where the moon would rise every night. Honestly it would have been a LOT harder to find if not for the fact there were some spikes of ice that led towards said island… the perks of having your hair as part of the ocean I guess.

“I have,” she removed the sword charm from the necklace, watching as it turned into Sea Fairy’s sword, “I have your sword! So… sorry I didn’t know sooner, eheh…”
With that, Moonlight pressed the weapon into Sea Fairy’s clasped hands, hilt fitting into them with ease.
The ice soon started to melt, the curse lifting once more. Sea Fairy wakes up from her dreamless sleep as if nothing had happened before then.
“Moonlight?” The Sea blinked, the cold of the ice before lingered but her face started to feel hot.
"Yeah," the sheep said, hair eddying like the sea surrounding them. The ice was starting to melt, so she summoned her staff and sat on it, moving out of the water's reach.
She fidgeted slightly on her staff, "I... well, I already had your sword, and I like you -- a normal amount, obviously -- so... I... wanted to help. So. I did. Help you."
Why can I never be calm and collected around her!! Fuck!!!!
“It’s a wonder it ended up in your hands, someone had taken it from me.. how did you get it?” The sea itself had a gentle glow, bioluminescence algae shimmering across the surface of the water. She’s smiling at her..
“I’ve missed being in your presence my moon”
The sea was as beautiful as ever tonight, glowing algae reflecting the sky and the stars held in its gentle blackness.
“Some… dreamer had it. I don’t know how they managed to smuggle it into the World of Dreams physically, but… they gave it to me. Said it was…. A gift. From you.”
Moonlight resisted the urge to stuff her hands in her pockets; for one, she’d fall off her staff, and for another, she wasn’t nervous. Definitely.
She couldn’t help but smile, “Good to see you, too… sorry, it’s been… busy.”
And I’ve been sulking about Milky Way getting kidnapped.
The sea slightly rises and swirls around the two, glowing algae swirling and flowing like the northern lights. She missed seeing the sky, the stars.. the moon.. it’s a miracle the sword had ended up in Moonlight’s hands, she wasn’t sure if it was the same cookie who took it from her, that didn’t matter right now…
“I would imagine so, I assume there’s been more cookies dreaming than before?” Her beautiful moon had help did she not..? Her hope was it wasn’t to bad..
"Yeah, though.... I maybe-sort-of-kind-of-closed-theworldofdreams," she said in a rush, "So. No more dreams! For any cookies! Until it opens again! But I had to see you..." the space cookie mumbled the last part into her shoulder, a light flush dusting her dough.
“I’m sure the World of Dreams will be fine for a little while..” this had to be fine… besides she wasn’t fully focused on the sea all the time and it’s been fine! The world of dreams will just be dreamless for a little while!
"Yeah... yeah!" Moonlight shifted on her staff, "I'm sure it'll work out!! Cookies will just have dreamless sleep!! Aurora Candy Cookie will probably appreciate the break."
The sheep's eyes traced Sea Fairy's face.

"How have you been? Outside of the.... being frozen, I mean."
“Before being frozen for… I’m not sure how long actually, I’ve been keeping watch on the rebuilding of Sugarterra” a few colorful fish started to swim around them… she wished she could kiss her right now, the moon was so beautiful…
“It’s been wonderful, sometimes I came up to the surface to look at the night sky as well..”
Moonlight was being so normal about everything occurring right now. Yes. Normal. That was what she was doing. Normal behavior.

...had she really forgotten about Milky Way in the joy of seeing Sea Fairy again? Wizards, Moonlight. Get your act together.

“How do you only have one conductor? Don’t you have two of them?” She’s having a slightly easier time being… normal. The literal sea is kind of giving what she’s feeling away though, there’s even more fish swimming around now!
The sheep scratched -- heh -- sheepishly at the back of her head, "Well, one of them got... kidnapped... and I couldn't. Do anything about it!! Soooooo I was maybe sulking. In bed. Alone. About it."
Moonlight did not want to keep sulking about Milky Way. Alas.
"I'm just... worried. I know star can handle it, star's handled worse, but..." almost absentmindedly, she grabs a fish and puts it in what looks to be a... soap bubble? Sure. She watches it swim in circles, scales flashing in the light of the moon above them both. "What if more cookies get kidnapped? A sailor -- the one I gave my blessing -- she mentioned that her grandmother had gone missing, too."
“There have been kidnappings?” The sea was alarmed, the fish swam slightly faster… it can’t be to bad right? As long as no one else has been taken.. the taken conductor and the sailor’s missing grandmother… that’s still two cookies gone.
“Is someone out there looking for them..?”
"I don't-- I think so?" Moonlight groaned, tipping forward to rest her head on her hands and almost slipping off her staff in the process, "I know for a fact that after she spoke with me, the little moonbeam began tracking them... she wasn't going to let her grandmother be kidnapped that easily, but. Outside of her? I don't know anything."
Were there other cookies affected? Could they even fight a shadow organization based on nothing but a few names?
“Maybe if I hadn’t been frozen I would have at least heard about something..” She knows how.. gossipy the sea can be.. almost everything it hears tends to come back to her at some point or another.. she might get all the gossip soon though depending on how fast it’ll reach her.
"It's not as if you'll get all that information at once..." Moonlight propped her elbows on her knees, moving her face up so it was resting on her palms. She had no idea how she was staying on her staff, at this point.
The sheep hummed, brows knitted together in concentration, "Maybe the other Guardians of Nature would know something?"
“Possibly… wind archer maybe… actually Millennial Tree might know everything, he sees everything after all.. fire spirit probably wouldn’t care much.” And then the other two… well frost queen is busy with her end… always is, stormbringer probably has no interest.
She hummed again, "You're right as always, Sea Star. Witches above, what a mess..."
Shifting forward on her staff, Moonlight let her head fall forward, chin resting atop the ocean cookie's head.
"Y'know," she mumbled, "Your hair isn't ever wet. Jus' feels all smooth..."
She was so tired. She didn't want to think for the next forever.
That got a small snort out of the ocean’s guardian. The sea itself calming to just a faint ripple. “Your resting on the less-watery part of my hair silly it’ll be wet if you rested further down it”
The algae’s glow slightly lowers a bit to a softer blue… the moon seems to be tired..
Moonlight cracked a yawn, "Heh, it's funny... I've... been so worried the past few days. Not-able-to-sleep levels of worried, and you just... seeing you. Was enough to make that all... drift away.
"Amazin`. That's... you."
She pulled away, only to wrap her arms around her sea star's neck and rest her head there instead, mindful on the sheep horns she had yet to glamour away once more.
Maybe she would sleep while attached to Sea Fairy like a koala. Moonlight doubted she would mind. Probably.
The brightness of the flowing algae went up by a hundred. What was she just called… before she could ask, the sheep had wrapped herself around her.. and the glow got even more bright. The ocean itself seemed to of started glowing.. her face felt hot… she she….?
The Sea curves the water into more of a half dome, so she can still see the stars and the moon, then laid down and snuggles against the Moon.
“You are just as amazing… silver moon…”
She let out a sleepy laugh, then a sigh.
"...Stay with me tonigh', will you? In the mornin', we can... worry. I'd like... I'd like one more night. Before ev'rythin' implodes."
Moonlight tangled her fingers with the sea's, lifting them and pressing a small kiss to the back of her hand, barely suppressing a grin as she did so, eyes still closed.
"...G'night..."
“Of course, I’ll stay for tonight.. we can worry about everything tomorrow..” The Sea felt incredibly warm on the inside… she is staying here… with her.. the Moon is staying with her tonight.
The moon has never stayed with her this long during the night,. Yeah they met up in the world of dreams but… this was different. Did she… no it can’t be right..?
Relaxing more in Moonlight’s arms, Sea Fairy’s eye closed. “Goodnight… Moonlight…”

The sea slightly rises and swirls around the two, glowing algae swirling and flowing like the northern lights. She missed seeing the sky, the stars.. the moon.. it’s a miracle the sword had ended up in Moonlight’s hands, she wasn’t sure if it was the same cookie who took it from her, that didn’t matter right now…

The ice statue of the elemental remained where it had last been left: near the shores of an island far north of the Tower of Frozen Waves. Where she still remains in a dreamless sleep, facing where the moon would rise every night. Honestly it would have been a LOT harder to find if not for the fact there were some spikes of ice that led towards said island… the perks of having your hair as part of the ocean I guess.

With that, Moonlight pressed the weapon into Sea Fairy’s clasped hands, hilt fitting into them with ease.
The ice soon started to melt, the curse lifting once more. Sea Fairy wakes up from her dreamless sleep as if nothing had happened before then.

Red Panna Cotta had eventually noticed her up in the tree, how long had she been up there? He greeted the Sugar Swan and approaches the tree, not yet flying up there.
“Great Sugar Swan, I did not expect you to be outside the castle today”
*sugar swan smiles slightly.*
I just wanted to spend some time in the sun, my dear feather.
He flies up into the tree and settles on a branch.
“It’s been a calm few weeks, strangely. Usually one of the other guardians would have done something by now but it’s been quiet.”
It sure has been weirdly calm since I rescued sprinkle but I am glad for the peace.
“I call it a blessing, last thing anyone needs is more chaos. Especially not up here. You and First Sprinkle need time to relax.”
I definitely think that she has been enjoying the time to sleep in.
“I would imagine so after, whatever you got her out of, it didn’t sound great.”
*she nods as she attempts to stretch her non-existent wings.*
He sighs.
“Something feels wrong, I don’t know why but something feels off.”
You need to relax, my feather.
“I know I should but, it’s my job as a guardian to worry. I can’t shake off the feeling that something is very wrong great Swan”
*she holds an arm out to him.*
He took her arm.
“I know if something were to happen it would already but, can’t help but stay wary.”
