I’ve often wondered how many nurses have done this before me. I wonder how many hands we’ve held, how many eyes we’ve looked in too and said “don’t quit” or “it’s okay if you’re tired”. Aside from children, being a nurse has been the most humbling part of my life. I’ve seen many kids die over the years…just like these wartime nurses. But I’ve seen so many thrive.
