i was having a conversation with my mother and got really excited to talk about cosmic horror, only for her to shoot me down and pluck my wings. she was saying all these things about how horrible of a genre horror is and how shed never indulge, so i tried explaining why it makes such good stories and how not everything has to be fluffy and romantic. my father read aloud some description of cosmic horror and my mother dared to say "maybe thats why youre like this" like it isnt her fault. god forbid an enby tries to cope.
